The numbers, like always, are fricking great, but you can GUARANTEE that JBE is going to come up with some bull shite excuse to extend this nonsense.

Same shite, different toilet.

Is that residents that died at the nursing home/facility, or does that include those that were moved to a hospital and later died? Asking as I believe if a resident is in the hospital for more than 28 days, they are no longer a resident at their nursing home (at least that's what my brother's nursing home told me, might be fewer than 28 days before he loses his bed). Just curious as to how they are counted because in theory, this number could be higher if those moved to a hospital that last more than 28 days may not be included. Especially since the median age was 77 last I heard.

Out of facility for 30 days qualifies as a discharge— our residents who died in the hospital are included in the numbers on the report put out on Wednesdays as best as I can tell.

Looks like 1,500 was the magic number of cases they were seeking.

4,970 Covid attributed deaths of
4,648,794 Louisiana residents by US census bureau 2019 estimate.

So out of every 1000 Louisiana citizens, 1 has died?

Is that a lot compared to other causes of death in Louisiana?

It doesn’t seem like it is. If deaths are categorized by “he was a dumbass”, I’m sure that would be a lot higher.

68% of deaths in ages 70+
86% of deaths in ages 60+

Also, I noticed yesterday that one of the 18 & under deaths was removed, it was at 5

4970 of 4,648,794 is 0.106%

And 782 are in the hospital. So less than 7,000 people have the virus out and about in Louisiana, and I would be willing to bet most of them have no symptoms.

At quick glace there are another 700 in nursing homes, so that would put that number closer to 6,200 about in about in LA.
