JP overtook Orleans in total cases for the first time. (JP has about 10% higher population)

2nd largest day for number of test results. So let’s act shocked with increased number of cases
I need to get back to tracking the delta between total tests and positive cases...I stopped doing it when LDH stopped reporting testing data a few weeks ago.

i know the percentage to positive to total tests is down to around 14.8%

Mentally ill people generally disbelieve facts when they don’t support what they want reality to be. That is kind of the definition of delusional mental illness.
These are the official numbers.

I wonder if/when they will start adding positive antibody tests to the total number of cases?
Posted on 5/9/20 at 1:58 pm to tgrbaitn08
It would be criminal if LA doesn't go to phase 1 on 5/15.

The number of tests (9,700+) dumped today is the second highest daily test total since this began.

They should really report when those tests were administered

I haven’t personally known anyone diagnosed with the virus in over 2 weeks now. Anyone else the same way?

Haha.
I realize being sarcastic.
But, think how absurd it is.
They can't even collect data on hospitalizations and ventilations in a timely manner!

Seeing more and more obit stories by the Nola media where folks are in the hospital more than a month. I guess the timeline for recovery or death is longer than the 2-3 week timeline given when this thing started. Might be why the hospitalization numbers are so stubbornly high with relatively few new cases among the increase in test availability & test turn around time.

I personally only know two people diagnosed this whole time. A husband and wife. This was back in mid March

There was a time when people were actually getting this virus. It was still nowhere near what they made it out to be but it was out there. I even knew 3 people who had it. Since the beginning of May that’s not true anymore. Nobody knows anyone who has it now. They’ll keep saying they’re out there but they aren’t. If they were we would know them.

I don’t know anybody.
Then again I don’t know anyone in a nursing home or prison, so that drastically decreases my chances.
