Don't let up now, Louisiana. You guys are getting close to decreasing that death total. Just a few more weeks.

You and Golfer ought to put this on twitter and tag or whatever JBE and his twitter boy. That could be fun.

shite these deaths keep going up! When will they STOP!!!
A big chunk of this is the nursing home crowd. Some of them would be dying even if Covid had never appeared.

Oh and Region 4 continues to go down by THEIR OWN NUMBERS and JBE said we weren't. I think he's full of it.

We are still not doing enough. Everyone needs to stay home.

I took out the 21 day calculation as it was so far off with the new info.
29,673 active cases
1,991 deaths
20,316 (recovered as of 5/02)
7,366 Active cases based on data provided. Enter assumptions
Recovered data is 2 days old. 14 days from 5/02 is 4/18. New cases:
4/18 - 462; 4/19 - 348
6,556 Active cases
1,502 in Hospitals
5,054 Cases not in hospitals
Conservatively the cases of people not in hospitals is around 5,054
Obligatory: The 14 day guidelines are given by ldh and based on when the patient tests positive. The information that we have readily available is when the positive test result is known, not when the test was administered. In addition, the date of the onset of symptoms does not matter either.
My old 14-day calculation would have had us at 6,451 Active & 4,949 not in hospitals

Like fricking clockwork.
Do you think he's not? He said Region 4 was increasing ... when we weren't. Is that not skewing numbers?? IE lying??

I really wish they would break out the nursing home numbers and prison numbers from the daily tally.

Too soon, if Indiana has extended their Stay At Home through July 5th.

Well nursing home totals are given on Monday/Wednesday in the "Covid News" section but I don't see it yet for today.
The facility where I work had more positive cases than the parish where I live.

Starting this week, we are moving to three media briefings a week until we enter into Phase One. Times and updates can be found on Coronavirus.la.gov.
As always, the news conferences will be streamed on Facebook.com/LouisianaGov & gov.la.gov.
Today’s is at 2:45

Oh no, do you really think that JBE would lie to the people just for his own agenda advancement?

Friday we went to a local restaurant for drinks, dinner and live music all outside. Was glorious.
Yesterday we went to 11 am mass under the trees and it was glorious as well.
In two weeks it will be hot as hell in LA and this will no longer be glorious.

You're absolutely right which is why I'm going to go take advantage as long as I can!

Fin Shucks was rocking .. Friday and Saturday they had a live band and you could order food and eat in the bed of your truck/tailgate/chair near your car.
We opted for Riverfront == $3 margaritas and some good food. Shucks isn't my favorite although I haven't been in a while. Poor Dupuy's has curbside pickup but no where to even think about having an "outdoor event" type thing.
Oh and I read a Police Juror post that they're having a meeting to night to discuss opening things up .. I asked specifically if they would follow the Orange County sheriff and not enforce the governor's orders. Said that will be discussed tonight.
