I hope you realize the “Karen’s” in this scenario are the ones that refuse to wear a mask...

It is not even close.

I wear a gaiter and have been for months at work. Slide it up when needed and pull it down when not. It is simple. These people that say they can't breath and refuse to wear a mask out of ridiculous grandstanding must be very large people.

Is this for the gnats? Because that thing sure as hell isn't stopping a virus.

Never said it was. It is to get by on the requirement.

where did this come from? I noticed this on the Lafayette reddit a while back -- calling "suburban white women who want to get their nails done" Karen

Karen's are most definitely the losers driving around reporting businesses for not properly enforcing mask regulations

You should have someone make a mask out of the gaitor. That’s what I did and it’s more comfortable than anything else I could find.

The grocery store by my house has a sign up. I forgot my mask one day and the owner said he isn't going to stop anyone without a mask. He said for all he knows they have a health condition and it's none of his business to ask. It is a Mom and Pop grocery store.

My favorite "karens" have been the ones that would freak out on social media during the actual early stage shutdowns and whine that so many people weren't staying home..while they themselves were out and about.

"Karens" are busybodies that are very concerned with what other people are doing and not minding their own business.

Karen is definitely pro-mask.

You mean the breathable fabric face covering not designed to stop anything but protect people from UV damage while fishing? That thing that provides no medical benefit? Tell me again how wearing a mask is about stopping the virus and not “won’t someone do something!!!!!”

Yeah it’d be terrible if they actually helped prevent further spread of corona and actually helped us get to phase 3 quicker

How does slowing down the spread decrease the time we need for this virus to run its course and start decreasing cases? Wouldn’t slowing the spread extend the time we need to stay restricted?

Yeah clearly I was talking them being medical masks and not just saying that they are easy to wear to get by the mandates. Please continue to cry more.

I’m not crying. I’m simply pointing out that these mandates don’t do shite to actually stop anything if we are allowing masks made of things not designed to stop the passage of anything except light

Of course, but that totally ignores our hospital capacity, long term damage from corona, and waiting on a possible vaccine or hospitals to stay at semi normal levels.

You’re welcome to worry about all of that, I don’t think I will.

You didn’t answer my question. How is spreading out the curve (that is already below the hospital capacity to begin with) to a longer time frame supposed to get us to phase 3 more quickly? Wouldn’t opening up lead directly to spikes again?
