The Karens are both sides now. Some Karens complain on Facebook about people not wearing masks. Some Karens complain on Tigerdroppings about masks mandates and how they shouldn't have to wear one and muh freedoms.
Reasonable people just wear a mask and don't worry too much if someone else isn't wearing a mask in the grocery store

Lake Chuck looks like it may coming off of its peak.
It will be interesting to see the CFR there when this settles out, they barely participated in the first wave at all, so little seroprevalence, and they started to play this game when we were testing out the arse.

The state counts the case on the date tested and not the date reported.
The TD spreadsheet lists the case on the date reported.
If you watch though, the number usually starts off high and lowers over time as more tests for that date comes in.

I can't figure out why they won't report it that way. It's obviously being sorted out for the state, why not make those number available?

They are available from the ldh site.
While the spreadsheet TDers use is ok, it lacks a ton of data and is the source of a lot of misinformation here.

So there were only 143 positives yesterday and everything else was from previous tests?

Can you clarify the “ton of data” that is missing? Not doubting, I just don’t get that it’s not simply dividing tests/positives.

I'd have to go look to see the exact number. But yes, usually the immediate preceeding day looks like a huge drop. Then results filter in over the next week correcting the data.

For instance when the state dumps a backlog the TD spreadsheet doesn't correct for the day, the state does.
Same for deaths.
Until recently the TD spreadsheet didn't account for duplicates on day of reporting. It just took the total case difference and assumed that was the number of cases.

Yeah, Georgia was reporting numbers at a 5 or 7 day lag in order to prevent the misinformation, not sure if they had changed that.
Think about anyone you know who has been tested. It usually takes a few days to get an answer. I would guess it would take at least day to report/reflect those numbers as well.

Yeah. Like I said, I knew that they wouldn't have the numbers in a 24 hour period. Guess I just didn't think about them only having 1/10th of the potential cases reported in a 24 hour period.
