I personally knwo two people who fall into this category. Have heard of others but it does happen .. just that the odds aren't in their favor.

Great point. You also have to factor in several insurance companies have said they'll cover all costs, so the cost of treatment wouldn't be a factor

If it takes 3 years, hopefully they'll have a vaccine a bit before that.
Also, if the goal is to have the hospitals have the capacity to treat all those who need it and treat them in non chaotic situations, taking 3 years for everyone to get it would aid in that goal.

The good news is that it looks like it's cresting and/or falling a bit ever so slightly. We still have 3+ weeks to play with so by that time who knows what we might know about the virus, how it reacts, how we should react, potential treatment, increases in our capacity and testing, etc.
Definitely sounds as if May seems like a much, much brighter time than early April here in South Louisiana.
