He's never said anything about wanting to keep businesses closed longer than what has been suggested. You prepare for the worst and when the 'better' scenario comes along you adjust accordingly.

Then why are we still locked down? We are way past the threat to hospital capacity. Tell me, what politicians have come forward and explained that there is no way around this except through a large number of infections and that we are going to have to accept it?

Any of them that have advocated for flattening the curve have done that indirectly. I'm really not sure you get it still, even though you claim to.
The goal has always been to avoid a high number of infections all at the same time, not to avoid a high number of infections. Are there a lot of politicians saying something different now?

I haven’t missed a day of work since this started, haven’t really seen a change in life other than the scare tactics from the media. I don’t know a single person that’s had a positive test. I did listen and do the basic stay the frick away from crowds, washed hands and I do wear a mask in closed areas. Why is it all of us can not do these simple ideas? I mean I understand it sucks but for the sake of our children and their futures why crash our economy and leave them basically scratching to get by for what? A cold ? I don’t wanna get sick or die from this crud no more than the next guy but That’s my responsibility and my daily risk. We need to stop this shut down crap and move on before it’s too late.

Did they change test result numbers later? I am seeing 141,657 again for state and the note about commercial testing numbers being under review.

So we are now looking at trending down for 19 days on new cases and positive test. The hospital systems are having second line parties with patients telling me they are NOT overwhelmed. What are we waiting on for phase 1?

It's good that Knox County TN is keeping track of recoveries. It'd be desirable if everyone did. My experience has been w/ the state of LA. The medical providers I talk to tell me it's not being followed.
