Well we were both positive and a week after I had it, our daughter ran fever, snotty nose, and a cough. She has never run a fever before. But since they didn't test her we cant be for sure she had it.

FYI they’ve stopped testing most people. My doctor said they (his clinic) are only testing people that are going to the hospital now. The hospital has a much faster turn around time than the average patient. 24 hours vs 1 week for patients not in dire need. Number of cases is way higher than reported. Mortality rate is much lower

I still don't agree. The stat is dependent on the level of symptoms of those tested. That level gets lower and lower the more we test.
Plus, the good news would be if this stat was showing MORE positives. That would mean people with very slight symptoms would be developing immunity. We need the number of folks with the virus, relative to the number of dead, to be a big number.

Good job. Don't understand why the states can't report in this format. Or our worthless media. Just another example of how this message board is more informative and relevant than the so called "news" sites.

Have you read about the study in Iceland? They did a large scale random testing program regardless of symptoms which showed that about 50% of those infected had no symptoms. If that applies to non-Icelandic people, it would bode well for the development of some significant amount of buffer protection.

The states is because the governor's are pandering to their small percentage of citizens freaking out over this.
The media is pandering for views and clicks, they don't care about the truth.

Pretty sure we had quite a few old folks in nursing homes die without being tested, as well. Certainly not in the numbers assumed for Italy, but the first week we had so few tests available. Used them on the living.

Try finding Seattle/Washington St numbers. Wikipedia has some info, but getting actual deaths per day is vague and never in the same spot
Watching Washington/Seattle and Louisiana/NOLA seems the closest apples to apples.
