Sorry Brother - We lost our Shepherd late last year, she was 13 and it was time, but it still hurt. before that we had a great Collie that came down with cancer age 7, so I now how it feels.
Feel it, but be there for your wife and kids (if any), they are hurting too.

Lost our lab to lung cancer in 2018. The vet was disbelieving at first because it's so unusual in dogs. She didn't recommend chemo because she said she'd never had a dog do well on it. Just gave him prednisone and he lasted 5 1/2 months. He did pretty well up to the last two or three days and then he just lay down and faded away. I think about him all the time.

Sorry for your loss. Man I know how that feels and it hurts. Big guy is in a better place, and he knows that you gave him a good life.

It requires sedation and cutting the goat open to relieve the air. Its expensive.

So very sorry. I hadn’t heard of it in goats so didn’t know if it was the same as in dogs, and in the next couple of years want to get a mini.

So sorry for your loss.
I totally get the pain you are feeling.
Lost our 16 year old chihuahua about 8 months ago.
had to put him to sleep after he had a stroke.
both my grown boys drove 1-1/2 hours to say their goodbyes and we all cried, me especially.
Have lost pets before but this one hurt worse that any of the others.
Guess him being with us so long and being a part of my boys life growing up.
But you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I love my cat and can’t imagine her not being here. Never thought I’d love a cat as i was always a dog person but this one got to me.

We had a small kitten show up in our yard on a freezing cold Christmas morning in 2022, he’s currently sleeping in a recliner in the den. He acts more like a dog than a cat but he’s less maintenance than our dachshunds.

Damn…I’m so sorry. It’s one thing to lose a beloved pet. But to lose one suddenly is an extra kick in the gut. So sorry.
