There has never been a good excuse for drunk driving. Now that is especially true with Uber, Lyft, taxi, etc.

When I was in high school, our class lost six guys who were out drinking and decided to race a train to a crossing. I'll never forget how that car looked. It was hardly recognizable. And the blood...

Now, I think you're posting this in response to that other thread, which doesn't sound comparable. There's a difference in driving a mile down the road to your house after a couple of beers and driving on the interstate plastered. If they were hit head on, the driver was obviously very impaired. Painting the other guy into this same situation is absurd.
