That really sucks.

Now, I think you're posting this in response to that other thread, which doesn't sound comparable. There's a difference in driving a mile down the road to your house after a couple of beers and driving on the interstate plastered. If they were hit head on, the driver was obviously very impaired. Painting the other guy into this same situation is absurd.

You deserve to be punched in the face. What makes them different? No one has intent to injure someone when they drive drunk, their choices just make it more likely, no matter where they choose to do it

Drunk driving is irresponsible, immature and ignorant. One of the most selfish things a person can do.

Having almost been killed myself by a drunk driver, I couldn't agree more. DUI penalties need to be 100x as severe as they are now. It's a completely avoidable situation, and should be treated like it really is.

Someone taking 3 lives should rot in a dark cell for the rest if their days.

This is the ignorance of those who condone impaired driving.

That's tragic and I'm sorry to hear it. Dude was probably smashed driving the wrong way down a street. He deserves to go to prison for a long time.

Doesn't change my mind that having 3 beers and driving is a serious offense.

What makes them different?

One is severely impaired and hit someone head on. The other was probably legal if he actually blew and was not endangering anyone except for not having a turn signal

How inebriated they are?

You realize there’s a wide gulf between a few beers and hammered drunk, right?

When I was in high school, our class lost six guys who were out drinking and decided to race a train to a crossing. I'll never forget how that car looked. It was hardly recognizable. And the blood...

Sad part is, I bet all 6 did not want to do it..
