Not really odd at all … Liberalism is a mental disorder where logic and common sense are replaced with emotion.

Not really. Unlike much of the perception here, California is not some monolithic uber-blue state. The political power just happens to be concentrated in uber-blue large urban centers like LA and the Bay Area. Get outside of those and it quickly turns red.

ETA - I think I actually misread your response.

I was even surprised how different San Diego and the surrounding areas were from the LA and Bay areas.
Did you misread what I typed? Because I basically said what you did about reopening, I just left the politics out, but do agree.

Well these people better keep their Democrat votes behind in California before they move elsewhere like Texas and try and poison it like California.

The audacity of some of these people fleeing blue states to enjoy all of the freedom and perks of living in red states, yet they bring their Democrat votes with them is despicable.

“L.A. County, confirmed cases and deaths have continued to rise“

If cases are still rising, then they are a long way from completely reopening. And it sounds like they are relaxing some restrictions.

Los Angeles County’s stay-at-home orders will “with all certainty” be extended for the next three months, county Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer acknowledged during a Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday.

Wow. That's crazy.

They've done an exceptional job limiting the spread considering the population density out there. They could already be declaring a partial victory and easing the limitations, at least that's what their numbers suggest.

And straight out of the JBE playbook. Keeping shite closed is what's really going on. All about that almighty federal dollar.

Those swabs have to go pretty deep into your nasal passages, and it doesn't feel great. the compliance rate for this idea even if it was feasible would be close to 0%.

Do you really think that everyone in California is a Democrat?

That's all fine and good until they vote like they did in CA and NY.

Maybe in a few generations, when they've wrecked states like Texas, Georgia, and Florida, they'll realize the common denominator.
