He definitely got in because of his parentage, but his high school GPA is unknown.

The most surprising part about all this is she still had to cheat to get in? USC is not THAT hard to get into, I mean come on.
Her mom is a celebrity, her mom donated money, she is pretty successful already compared to most 18 year olds, and she knows a board of trustee member’s kid.

Her standardized test scores were likely dreadful and she really had no interest in going to college other than to party.
These schools tend to have a sliding scale of GPA and test score combinations to get in. I have a feeling her test scores would have required a 5.0 GPA.

USC is widely regarded as one of the top 25 universities in the country and has an admission rate of 13%. The middle 50% of admitted students scored 1400-1530 on the SAT. If you made a 1390, you'd be in the bottom quartile of your class. It would take a 1540 to be in the top 25%.
It's very difficult to get in.

Agreed that the optics of this aren't good for Caruso but I don't think he was on the boat. Rick Caruso is the President of the Board of Trustees. He got that position because he was the only member of the board that had the nuts to fire the last President (Nikias) who created this cash culture at SC. Nikias was responsible for all the medical center drama with the Head of the Medical School that was partying with hookers and doing drugs but didn't let him go until it became public.
Caruso built and owns The Grove in L.A. and Americana in Glendale in addition to properties in Marina del REy, etc. He's donates $$ everywhere in L.A. He built the new Catholic center at SC just because he didn't like the original design that SC was going to use.

As a University absolutely, but it’s not MIT, IVY league, Duke, Stanford, etc.
Furthermore, it’s not a top mba, Med school, or law school.
That’s my point. With her resume, there’s no way she should have had to cheat UNLESS her grades and test scores were horrendous.
If your parent donates supposedly $500k, is a Hollywood Celebrity that likely knows some people, etc. you shouldn’t have to cheat.
IF that’s the case, why the hell did she care to go to USC?

As I keep repeating in these threads, USC has a high end film school which keeps turning out directors who go onto big things.
I think her mother's plan was for her to making connections with those directors now so she has an "in" for TV and film down the road once Instagram whoring is no longer profitable.
That's probably shot to shite, though, since Aunt Becky just got fired from her gig over the charges.
