My guess is because Target is headquartered in Minneapolis.
So is Best Buy but they're not attacking Yellow Tag Stores

The receipt checker at the door has kept the looters away.

The police have lost total control of the city
Don't be so dramatic. It's about 200-300 people in a Target parking lot in a metro area of over 1 million people.

Whats ashame is that a couple hundred employees, likely a majority black and JUST AS PISSED about this incident, just lost their means of support for their families. Talk about extreme stupidity at work.

The situation in St. Paul is out of control right now. University Avenue is in tatters with hundreds of looters outmanning the police.

They're popping off in St. Paul now as well?
eta-I see know the FB live vid posted is from St. Paul. Just showed a vid of a squad with the drivers window busted out.

I'm confused. They're mad because Target donates stuff to the police? What do they mean Target donates stuff to the police?

i watched some live feed a few minutes ago and heard them chanting "hands up, don't shoot".
Guess i'll go back to ignoring this again as these uneducated morons destroy their city with the help of the media and other dumbasses helping spread their stupidity.

Right, including one shite head that showed his face on purpose. Hopefully he’s imprisoned soon.

They moved from target to...small businesses...

Perhaps they're just the result of anger spilling over because years and decades of calling out these unjust killings doesn't seem to have had any effect. Perhaps there is spilled over anger that Floyd was detained and presumably being arrested for a forged instrument, murdered in the process, and the murderer has not yet been arrested. As MLK once said, riots are the voice of the unheard. Riots have been part of American culture since our founding. It looks counterproductive to us sitting in the comfort of our own homes, but I'd imagine there's a palpable anger and frustration on the ground in Minneapolis. And you get a group of angry and frustrated people together, add in the police force they're angry and frustrated with, have some tear gas and rubber bullets deployed by that police force, and things are going to turn nasty.
So protest the police by committing crimes?
Yeah, that's never going to work.

Yup..... all the gangs are getting together to see what stuff we can steal next.
