It would kill at the Greenville exit that you take towards Andalusia and on to Fort Walton/Destin. So many damn Yankees on the road.

Unless they have opened a new one in the last five years, I only know of only 2 between the Texas state line and San Antonio on interstate 10. Baytown and Luling

Never been to a "Buc-ee's."

How do they differ from Pilots and Sex's?

Can you imagine how fast a Buc-ee’s in Louisiana would be destroyed by the customers here in this god awful state? I’m not saying I’m profiling but reputations are earned, never handed out.

The proposed location is more like the county, anyway. It'll be busy as shite from that Mazda plant and regular travelers.

I wonder how many years it'll be before Browns Ferry gets widened from 2 to 4 lanes. It's becoming a more important road over time as 72 gets more and more congested.

65 and Browns Ferry is in the Athens city limits as long as it's not going to be built on the SW side. Find Tanner on the map and go east to 65. That's where it's going to be built. The map will also show you how Huntsville has encircled Madison and is extending its tentacles into Limestone County.

The beaver nuggets bags would pile up on the highways like a snow drift.

They are already talking about it, and it may be in the works. What I've heard is it will be widened from Tanner cross roads to Peete's Corner (HBF/Mooresville). We desperately need lights at Peete's Corner and Burgreen/HBF. Cars are 20-30 deep at those intersections in the afternoons.

Limestone County has had its head up it's own arse for way too long. Over my lifetime they have given up untold millions in potential tax revenue by giving away land. I mean, for frick's sake, Greenbrier is IN LIMESTONE COUNTY, and they just gave the whole damn thing away. Cheap arse county that is now trying to play catch-up and letting the roads across the county go to shite. Evidently, they didn't factor in that all the development on the land they gave away would result in more traffic on county roads, which would result in them being beat to shite. Yet, all they will do is send out two guys in a truck with a bucket of cold-patch asphalt to fill in holes that will be even bigger come the next rain.

Someone very near and dear to me tried to convince everyone that Limestone County and Athens should merge governments ala Nashville-Davidson way back in the way 80's...they all laughed, at their phony baloney jobs, but now I expect that they wish they would have listened.

Well this will surely frick up my daily commute. Traffic is already getting ridiculous on HSV-Brownsferry rd in the morning and evening. This will be the first development at this particular exit and I'm sure it will expand immensely after Buccee's moves in. I knew it was only a matter of time till the exit started getting developed. Maybe they will put in a Whataburger, that will ease the pain some
