No because she's a woman and was just propped up for that. In reality, almost all of these broads are insignificant in the grand scheme of things

Some historians believe the flood of new faces on American currency could mark a shift in attitudes toward role models.

“Andrew Jackson is what we used to think of as a great American hero,” said Brenda Stevenson, UCLA professor of history and African American studies. “He stood for the white, male political and economic elite, with great military honor associated with him.

if we were already re-working the currency anyway, the difference in cost based on who we draw a picture of on it shouldnt be substantial.

im sure it will find a way, but in principle, if we are already reworking the print and security features this shouldnt be an issue.

We've had non presidents on money before, Franklin, Hamilton, Edison, none were presidents. We even had an Indian woman on a dollar bill before. But now everyone wants to be outraged.

I suspect a lot of people will end up disappointed by how little this empowers them after the initial 5 minutes of excitement wears off. though maybe i am wrong....

I think part of the idea of putting Tubman on the $20 is so more Americans will become familiar with her.

Raise the awareness.

Changing the 5, 10, and 20 to women just for the sake of change is stupid.

In an increasingly cashless society, this really is nothing more than a nice gesture. Besides, I really don't care which positive historical figures are on our money.

Shouldn't it now only be worth $15.40?

I rather have Prince on the $20 bill instead of Tubman.

It makes me laugh...I enjoy the frick out of faux outrage, regardless of which side of the aisle it comes from.
