Literally 25% are not.

Those 23% that are not should leave for a red state and we can all watch how it goes for NYC without that tax base and 100% progressive leadership and policy.

When was it not?

When Rudy was mayor and reduced crime

quote:

Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani and New York City Police Commissioner Howard Safir today announced that overall crime for the first six months of 1998 has decreased by 49.3 percent and homicides by 69.3 percent citywide when compared to the same period in 1993. Preliminary figures for the first half of 1998 also show that crime fell by 9.7 percent compared to last year and that the murder rate for the first half of 1998 is at a 32-year low and has declined 24.7 percent since 1997.

when you need a store clerk to walk with you to get shampoo and ten other items for each customer your business model is busted.

(sigh)

The model isn't busted. It's illegal to steal. However, certain cities have deemed it OK to steal things under a certain value or simply not prosecute those that do steal. This business model works perfectly well for us, but our city enforces the law.

I was in the Lafayette Target yesterday and saw a dindu straight up walk thru the self checkout area without paying.
Didn’t see what he took but likely just food for his family, right?

Attention whore attention whoring.

1. They don't have a Rite Aid near the NYSE.

2. These locks have been in place for years, no way she's just seeing this.

76-23 is a landslide, dude Obviously not 100% votes for this…but 76% do and that’s a huge majority

23% is large enough to not make the assumption that everybody, especially a person making a post like that one, voted democrat

love watching people learning that who you vote for has consequences

That’s the problem though. They never learn. And so I don’t care if they have to live in a virtual prison. They brought it on themselves.

I'd bet everything I own Kristen Ruby voted for all of this, and will continue to vote for it.

I did as well and it felt safe, was super busy, fun.

Some posters on this board want so badly for larger urban areas to collapse. I understand where they are coming from but it's just sad to channel your frustrations is such a vindictive way. Grow the f*ck up.

The last time I went to the Walgreens at Perkins and College, I had to call someone over to unlock the body wash.

I asked the dude if it was annoying to have to bring a key over for every customer. He said yes but that if he didn’t he would have nothing to sell me.

I'll put it this way: to me, NYC feels far more similar to different than most of the cities most OTers live in/near. For better or worse.
