It’s a lot of fun. Not sure why but the stereotypes I always heard just aren’t true anymore. I enjoy going with my kids.

My best friend and I went every Tuesday in the summer of 1997 (we were 16) and loved it. They still had diving boards and we had fun. Today is probably different.

That's been gone for years. It's still a great regional park. We live close and benefit tremendously by getting season passes and going from 10am-12pm about 12 times a summer.

Not sure of the ages you have but younger kids, and even older kids can go to the library for their summer program. It's not just storytime.

They have musical performers, cartoonist who teach how to draw anime, animal visitors, and different crafts. They even have prizes for joining he program.

Also, places like the RV camp resort we are at for the next month or two allows visitors for $10 a day to use the pool, hot tub, playground, dog park, and covered picnic areas. Drinks and food are there on the premises as well.

You serious Clark? It’s the CHEAPEST day care in the city.

Baton Rouge’s finest buy their kids the annual pass. Drop them off in the morning with $20 for food and pick them up in the afternoon.

After the initial pass purchase, you’re looking at $100 a week in upkeep for several kids daycare.

Monday-Thursday blue bayou is awesome. Definitely worth the price for summer passes.

If you are unemployed or make less than 20k a year you qualify for blue bayou stamps from the government

for how expensive it is, i don't understand how they have so much trash there. I would say that at least 85% of the adults there are tatted up.

That being said, my kids enjoyed the hell out of it last year the two times we went.

What draws that subset to water parks? I went to Big Kahuna in Destin a couple of years back because my 7 year old daughter wanted to go. I swear that percentage is dead accurate.

If you go twice, the summer pass pays for itself. And it's awesome on random weekdays because it's not crowded.

Agree Liberty Lagoon was much better than Blue Bayou. Seems people are run amok at Blue Bayou.

More MILFs in bikinis than Target and Whole Foods combined.

I want to believe this, but I don't. I loved this place as a kid. The first time I went back as a horny early 20-something, there were land whales galore and I distinctly remember seeing no milfs. I love milfs.

I was there this weekend for BASF family day.

Get there early, park opens at 10...leave by noon

Hardly any lines and you'll be ready to go by then.

Lots of culcha but that doesn't really bother me. Chocolate city my friends

There was a severe drought of MILFS and not much jailbait to look at either last weekend
