Yeah, I was thinking about cooler weather work or something that wouldn't look super trashy if I had to go run an errand or anything like that in the fall or winter.

Are they worth the price?

Yes, I’ve worked in oil and gas for many years and Red wing is the only brand I’ll buy. I’ve tried all the others, no comparison.

Georgia Boot Wellingtons.
On my 2nd pair, 1st pair lasted nearly 10 years. Waterproof them and they’re pretty much indestructible.

Those mil mile wolverines are meh. Wolverine went to the way side. Ariat are extremely comfy and last. My old ariats (steel toe lace up)last 4 yrs and I wore them literally 2.5-3 yrs solid. Leather was too stretched and needed sole replacement. I figured they made me enough money, I can replace them with new.

I have had a pair of waterproof Timberland Chelsea-style boots for 15 years that are good for what you're going for. I'm not a cowboy boot guy either.

Timberland website

$150 is about as low as you want to go if you want them to last.

And I think waterproof is a must.
