Pretty sure my GM 1500 just lost another transmission. Tired of repairing it.

Haven't looked for a new vehicle in 7 years. Probably will be looking for a truck to replace it. No brand loyalty. Want something comfortable and dependable. What would you recommend?

Dreading this process.

Ford F150 has been solid for me and this was from a Ford skeptic. Been very reliable through 2 trucks. Good interiors and infotainment.

Be prepared for sticker shock. The truck market has sucked for the consumer for several years now.

Carmax. Only a fool walks onto a lot to "negotiate," especially a new vehicle. Buddy found a truck with 3,000 (not missing any zeroes) miles on it for $10k off retail.

Just avoid Ford, GMC, Dodge and Chevy and you should be good. These brands will break down on you.

Missed this. So you haven’t learned your lesson and want to buy another American car?

In the last 20 years I’ve had 3 F150s and 12 Silverados. Not a single problem that required a shop visit outside of oil changes on any of them.

Ram - Nicest truck but worst dealers/manufacturer support
Ford - Nice truck with decent dealer/manufacturer support
GM - Don't do it bro
Toyota - Ugliest truck but mechanically sound with good support
Nissan - Same people that unleashed the Altima upon us

Sounds like you keep trading them in before you see any gremlins appear.

I'd certainly hope that any new truck would make it 1.33 years.

Wow.

I’ve had 1 truck the past 21 years and still have it. No wonder some of you frickers are broke.
