I was employed by them 10 years ago. Its a good outfit, depending on the customer's site. Do you have any certifications?

They are doing quite a bit of data center work, projects all over the country.

Its probably a good way to get started, lots of hours and lots of exposure in a short time. If you're willing to work hard and travel, there is definitely opportunity.

It's a different world than their typical industrial projects.

ETA: Each data center isnt necessarily a long term gig. Even then, it depends on what scope they have on each building. It could be everything from underground and build out or just a portion. They could have multiple buildings or just one. Depending on the size of the campus, work will be going on for quite some time. If you want to stay at that site, it is probably easy if you switch outfits to whomever has the work.

I just paid $60 and took the course online. It’s took me about a week or so to complete it. I have a friend (no construction experience) that got hired on not too long ago with ENFRA, and he’s making $2,000/week.

He texted me the other day and said they’re about to do a big hire. He asked for my info and he turned in to his supervisor. I applied, went back a few days later to check the status of my application and it said “not moving forward”. Definitely disappointing.

ETA: the job is for an electrical apprentice.

What’s an apprentice? We’re all executives or owners here, buddy.

Good luck on the hunt. Always happy to see people trying to better themselves. For the record, that’s what you should say when you get to an interview. “I may not have experience but I am determined to better myself and I will work my arse off for you given the opportunity.”

Ive heard good things. The least they can tell you is no. Wouldn't hurt to apply unless taking out the hour it would take to fill out the application is too much.

Back in the day ISC stood for in-laws sons and cousins.

And that was highly accurate

I don't know if that's still the case though. All the ones I knew were around my age and are probably retired as well.
