We bought a chevy traverse last year. Captain's chairs on the second row. Third row has plenty of room. The engine has plenty of pep. Can get a decent model around 35k. Its been great.

Check out the Pathfinder. It’s got a third row.

Palisade is a solid Choice

I've had the new pathfinder for just over a year now and really enjoy it. It's a fantastic value.

So you need a minivan

I’ll weigh in as well for the CX-9. It’s a good vehicle for the price and features.

Strongly consider why you need more than 6 or 7 seats with two kids. I declared it was not my job to spend an extra $$$$ on a car to take other people's kids to soccer once a month.

The three row Explorer my ex owned for four years had the third row used less than 10 times, with two kids both in seats. As your kids get older, the seats turn into boosters, turn into nothing.

I'd suggest trying the current vehicle, and wait until your kid is 3-4 months old for an actual problem to present itself. It's cheaper to rent an SUV to drive to Florabama than it is to buy a car that you need for Florabama once a year.

Just get a minivan - odyssey or sienna. It is, in every conceivable way, the best option for a multi-kid household.

31.5 MPG - What's crazy to me is that I can fill up for $30 and get a good 450 miles in one tank.

Assuming gas is 3 bucks a gallon then you are getting 450 miles on 10 gallons.

Anyone driven a Toyota Highlander hybrid? Thoughts?

Yes for two years, it is great. High 30s around town, low to mid 30s on the highway.

Toyota hybrids are a lot of bang for the buck. You'll probably pay off the hybrid upgrade in a year or two.

We have a 2023 palisade calligraphy and so far we love it. That being said I would look at the new Toyota Highlander and the new Honda Pilot.
