Do the addons with the Lariat trim justify the price spread versus the XLT trim?

I think they do, but I prefer leather seats. The tailgate remote opener is nice but unnecessary.

I only have 22K miles so far and it's been perfect. Good pick up and has a sweet little whine when the turbo booster is sucking air.

Yes probably so but why would you not just get 4WD

Can't remember ratings but I average 18.5 driving in and around Houston. On trips to back to Louisiana average about 21 on the highway.

I have the bakflip G2. Good value for the price.

I couldn't justify it but I doubt many people get the Lariat and think, this is just too much truck for me. I felt stronger about spending my money on the towing package and getting the 5.0 v8 .

For commuting and light towing 2wd will be fine. For the conditions, you can get the locking rear differential for like 1/3 the price of 4wd if you don't want to go that far. LRD will get you out of most sticky situations.

I have the 2016 V8 and I average around 18-19 highway and city mix. If you really pay attention to your driving and use the feedback it give you, you could hover around 22.

Pretty nicely equipped XLT for sure.

I could see being happy with that.

I went with a 502a lariat with 3.5 ecoboost because I like technology and LED headlights and all that.

I average 18.5 mpg with a 4x4 and I'm not mad at it. Never been on a 600 mile road trip but I'm sure it could get higher on the highway.

Around what did you pay for that? I want a lariat 4x4 with 501a package.

Leather? Aftermarket can do this. Maybe xlt option as well

If you have a new ford you should check out the new backflip mx4, you can open and close the tailgate without opening the cover. I didn't get the roll and lock because I wanted maximum bed space if needed.

trucks with 2wd should not be a thing. Especially in snowy climates. You can put all the sandbags in the bed you want but it's still only a matter of time before you slide into a ditch or can't get up a hill.

In my '13 3.5 ecoboost crewcab/4x4 i average about 16 mixed city/hwy. It will get maybe 20ish on the highway if you take it easy but i'm usually low 80's so it gets about 16 there too.

I've got the bakflip G2 and like it.

Where do you live?

I sell you one at invoice. I just need the sell, don't care about the profit at this point of the month.

May sound gay but I want my next truck to have a sun/moon roof.. Does that come with the xlt or do you have to get a lariat to have that option?

I think I ended up paying 10.5% under MSRP. Don't know exactly what that was. I was happy with the price at the time.

Panoramic sunroof etc. basically have everything but the radar cruise control and long wheelbase for a lariat.

Will be shopping and doing a lot of research over the next year or so.. I've always owned chevys but will not be blindly loyal to one brand.. I plan on doing a lot of research and finding a truck with the engine and features I want for the best price available... I try not to get into the whole ford vs chevy crap because they both seem to put out decent trucks as long as you take care of them...

I am in the same boat as this. Will be doing as much research as possible. I've always had Gmc vehicles, but the f-150 has grown on me. However, I will gonwuthbthe best price for what I want.

I have a 2012 F-150 Lariat and absolutely love it.

It was the first vehicle I purchased myself (not on my parent's dime) and I did so a couple of years ago. I was kind of surprised at how pricey Ford vehicles are, but it's been worth every penny and I'm glad I went that route.

The dealer tried to talk me into the Ecoboost, but they had a Lariat with 6.2 L V8 (Engine that they used to put in the Raptor) and the telescopic mirrors that I just fell in love with so that's what I got.

Like many have said, the heated/cooled seats are an absolute must have. They're truly incredible.

I have the moon roof and everything, but I don't think I've ever even rolled it down.
