Looking at getting a golf cart. Anyone have experience with Ascension Carts? Or should I try and find a private seller?

Private seller. Way cheaper. Just get the batteries tested.

Private sellers are way cheaper. Like the poster above said, get the batteries tested, those frickers are expensive to replace.

with oil at $24 there should be some good deals on jacked up carts out there.

I got one from a private seller then used ascension carts to do all the upgrades on it. We use it all the time, but it’s just like a boat or rv they do have a lot of random maintenance issues

You can say that again...! Boats, jet skis, golf carts etc. are all bottom-less maintenance pits. IF, automobiles were produced in a similar/shitty manner...we would all be better off on horse-back !

Find one with bad batteries so you can get a good deal, get new batteries and you should be good for 4 or 5 years if properly maintained.

There is a private seller at the corner of Tate Rd/Hwy 16 in Denham Springs, didn't buy mine from him, however he sells them and makes house calls to GreyStone...a couple of my buddies bought from him and they speak highly of him.

I just bought a stock cart, with the addition of a backseat, turn signals, horn, from one of those places that fixes them up. It was a few years old and $3500 for the shebang.

Relatively new golf cart owner here. Can you all share some insight as to what kind of maintenance I should be doing and approximately how often?
TIA!
