I don't see it as pathetic. Lots of guys prioritize freedom over everything else. If it matters to them above all else, more power to them. I envy that mindset, tbh.

Does your wife read your posts?

5 or 6 years. Regardless of your agreement, and no matter how long it takes, they ultimately always demand more.

At the time, I hadn't gone more than a day without pussy in years. After going through a three year dry spell before that.
I literally removed every female friend from my life when I met her, not because I was some irresistable sexual dynamo, but because when I drink whiskey I'm a terrible goalie for monogamy when it comes to pussy.
In retrospect, I didn't need to do it. But after everything we had been through, it was my way of saying goodbye.

I think I took the whole freedom thing about as far as anyone reasonably should, but to each his own.
I must say I've enjoyed "our" freedom (no kids) on its worst day more than I enjoyed "mine" on my best.
The most depressing feeling is having a house full of people (and a veritable stable of women), but having to walk outside with a bottle of bourbon and a pack of cigarettes because only you realize how completely and utterly alone you really are.
Nah, you couldn't pay me to go back to that.

Must suck to be lonely. I'll pray for ya brother; everyone needs somebody

It really sucks having several women who are willing to jump in head first with you right now, but the one you want isn't one of them

Uh, yeah, about that. Married, two kids, dog, cat. I can't even take a shite by myself.

As someone going on 7 months in a friends with benefits-type scenario, I can honestly admit that, while freedom from responsibility can be nice and I certainly love the thrill of the chase, I look forward to the day the chase is finally over.
But until that day comes, I'm going to enjoy the hell out of the single life. Happy hunting, gentlemen!

So why do you come off as bitter and rejected?
Posted on 4/6/16 at 12:29 pm to AU_251
Quote all my posts and tell me how I come across as bitter and rejected.

A close female friend of mine has had a FWB for about 2 months. She's about to move to Houston next month and wants nothing to do with relationships.
I've never met the beta guy but if he doesn't stop with the "catching feelings, need relationship" talks he's gonna frick up what I see as a perfect situation for a single guy.
The girl is beautiful and career driven. We have been close friends for years. I'm actually proud of her for standing her ground with this dude and not allowing herself to get caught up in a relationship. She's been honest with him from the beginning. She won't sleep with any other guy except him, but she does NOT want to be his GF because it would complicate things when she leaves.
She's telling the dude "enjoy it while it lasts" and he is fricking it up.

Doesn't that suck. I don't even take long shits like most people, but jesus i can't even take a 3 minute shite without some little shite coming knock on the door asking me what i'm doing.
But i guess that's better than taking a shite and walking out to an empty house everyday.

Yeah it is weird. Some days you're like fml, but the second your little one gives you a hug and kiss and says he/she loves you, it's like a shot of morphine.

3 months, and I had other FWBs too, which was fine with her. Until I told her about the college freshman I was doing really kinky stuff with--THEN she told me it was over and we were just friends, no more benefits.
Didn't make any sense to me, but whatever. I think she was under the mistaken impression that she was my "primary" FWB, whatever that means. Fact is, she said she was okay with me fricking other girls but I don't think she was really okay with it. Oh well, the college freshman was a way better lay
