After working with Carroll Shelby on the Cobra and developing the Mustang, I bet Lee Iacocca felt like a buffoon shilling the Granada POS for Ford.

80s cars were so atrociously ugly
You will get a lot of pushback on this because a lot of 80s cars will hit the age demographic here in the feels.
I think the late 70s were the nadir of car design but there was a lot of poor designs in the 80s as well but the decade did give us a decent number of legendary designs:
930 911
F40
F1
Hammer
E30 M3
GNX
DMC-12 shitty car but massively cool
The W460 marked the civilian G-Wagon (technically '79)
944
The 959 possibly the most influential supercar
Plus a ton more.
But is also gave us
X cars
Cimarron
Fuego
Alliance
Mondial
Kammback
Tempo
Pulsar NX

My first truck was a Ford Courier that would go a maximum of 74 mph. Had some buckshots on the back and that thing would go through some mud so long as it didn’t high center.

Some came with an optional 302 V-8. With a little work, they make a sneaky fast sedan.

In the early 90s, the turbos car to be had was the Nissan 300zx, Dodge Stealth, and Mitsubishi 3000GT.

Somebody at my kids school gets picked up in a white Ferrari 488 sometimes. Not sure who they are.

Most of those ended up in Saudi and Kuwait. Especially the SS 454.

Wish I still had my 1989 944S2. Fun as hell to drive and handled like it was on rails.
