How often did you cheat? How about her?

She was just 5 hours down the road. Not like we never saw each other.

Dated long distance for over a year (10 hour drive, but usually flew), now are married and have lived together for 5 years. We're from the same part of the country and had known each other before ,but were long-distance since the start of dating.

I was in my 30's though, and by that point I had a clue exactly what brands of female crazy I could and couldn't deal with. Being a stubborn Navy vet that had lived on his own for 15 years (at that time), the list of types of crazy I wasn't willing to put up with was pretty damn long.

Could any of y'all, especially in your early 20s, be willing to do a long-distance arrangement after such a short time together?

I did it (mid 20s). Ended on amicable terms, but I won’t be doing a long distance relationship again. Too much of a bitch and will drive you both insane.

i live about 1.5 hours away from my s/o. i work about 40 minutes from her. it's closer to stay with her a few days then to go home (about a 65 minute drive). she usually visits on the weekends. She hangs around the house and does teacher shite while i go fishing.

If you can easily do dinner 5 nights a week, you’re not in a long distance relationship.

My wife and I did long distance after dating for 2-3 months when we were both 22. We knew each other fairly well since high school so that helped.

It was actually kind of easy. We both had to make conscious decisions every day if we wanted to be together. It would have been easy for either of us to walk away since we were 4-5 hours away and not in each others apartments, so we just took it day by day and decided to stay together. Did this for about 3-4 years.

Having said that, if we were any further apart it would have been a lot more difficult. That drive couldn’t have been too much longer

As an uber driver, what are some other experiences you have had while driving people around?

I asked her how she could commit to a long-distance relationship after such a short stint of time together,

So you convinced a random chick who just wanted a cab to tell you all about her summer plans and personal life? Not buying it. Either this is made up or you are a Creepy McCreepster.

BTW, she will be fricking her boyfriend in DC and all across Europe. Multiple times. She won't be thinking about you either.

My fiancée and I have been together for over 6 years. We've lived in the same area code the first 18 months and have been long distance since. We've made it work, difficult at times, but it's taken effort on both our parts. Less than a year to go and we'll be in the same house and thankful for the results of our hard work.

I have friends who met online and began a REAL long distance relationship. He lives in the US and she live is Australia. They each have teenage children so they cannot move from their county until the kids are grown.

They had talked for months finally met and fell in love and have been together since. They did this for a few years (with alternating visits each 3 months) and they recently got married and are very happy.

It works for them and they can be together in the same country in just a few years.

It isnt easy but it is possible.

Young love is stupid, based on infatuation rather than actual love...makes you do stupid things
