For real. If you can see each other multiple times a week, it isn’t long distance.

she teaches special ed so that's the only reason it works. it's hard to get jealous of those guys.

I did Austin-Boston for 1.5 years, but we had been together for about that long when he moved and we're also in our 30s/40s.

I flew up every 3 months or so.

It was incredibly hard. I can't imagine going through that when I was young.

Now I live in Boston. That shite is not sustainable.

many times long distance relationships are for people who can't handle real relationships.

If she's in her early 20s and he's in his early 20s, one of them is cheating. Probably both

This happens all the time even when it isn't "long distance".

As long as you have a willing side piece or two, all will be well

I guess long distance is more “out of eyesight”.

Sometimes it means “in the next room”

Although it isn't considered by most to be "long distance", off-shore workers have this problem a lot. Wife or S/O bangs a side piece for 3 weeks out of the month then acts like all is fine in the world the 1 week they are home.

Metalfacedterrorist’s mind: college girl-present much older European boy friend=girl running back to foggily remembered Uber driver she confided in. It was love at first sight. Tune in next time when themselves, Kaiden, Hirley, and McKinzee are living the life on food stamps in a double wide trailer

What I've learned from this thread is that people have massive trust and insecurity issues.

While they aren’t ideal, they can be done and aren’t all too difficult if both parties are committed.

it's not for me at all, but I can see how this is ideal for some people. I know people in relationships in marriages where they don't see each other for weeks at a time sometimes. Some people don't want to be alone in life, but also love their space.
