I don’t like or play golf and I had a blast at the Houston top golf. It’s a great pregame activity on a Friday or Saturday night

Lol. You think this is golf?

Nice.
Should keep the riff raff out. They should make you pay it at the door. Top Golf’s have an indoor bar in the bottom level that I don’t think you pay a cover for so that should be a cultural experience.

I think “Golf” in the name should keep trash out

Top Golf doesn’t counteract being in the national news for high profile murders, like the LSU basketball player killed breaking up a fight by Southern or Clyde Edwards Helaire having to kill a guy trying to rob him.
Anyone going to a Top Golf only wants to pack a 9 iron, not a 9MM.

Had a company meeting in Atlanta last year. One night we went to Top Golf and there were lots of non-golf types. Everyone had a great time.

Not sure I'd like it in cold weather,
Each bay has 2 heaters. One over the seating area and one over the playing mat.
As for the golf haters, barely anyone who goes is a golfer. It's like going bowling. You drink and have fun. They're always packed.

I’m interested to see how bad traffic will be in the North Mall Drive area. It’s already a cluster getting to anything back there. Adding TopGolf definitely won’t help. Seems like they would’ve done better planning on that.

Top Golf in Baton Rouge
BRTogether bois are just gonna sit out in the parking lot and hold up the yuppies before they go in the store
Match made in heaven

That's the only thing that might save it. If it's cheaper, it will be ruined by the local wildlife

I’m not a golfer but did the one in Nashville on a bachelor party. We paid for some sort of package with food and open bar. Maybe $100 per guy for 3-4 hours worth. We had a great time

Where it's located is a decent spot to pull in Jefferson Parish/Nola people who are looking to do something else for the night.
Are there any other businesses around there that are really set up to capitalize? Maaaaybe the Courtyard Marriott. The restaurants there are all chains and there's no other night life to speak of within strinking distance (RIP Grown Folks lounge).

What's gonna be more packed?
Top Golf on a Friday before an LSU FB game or Ruffinos on a Friday before an LSU FB game?

Not really. There is nothing on North Mall that isn't a big box chain and pretty much everything on Siegen is chains that you could get anywhere.

100% relies on their ability to keep the culcha for loitering in and around the facility. If that happens it’s done and will close within a year

Yeah people are going to be leaving new Orleans in droves to hang out in the entertainment mecca of baton rouge.

I've never been with less than 4 or 5 people and you really aren't ever going to want to stay more than 2 hours. $20/person isn't bad.
I have never been when we didn't drink and/or order food. I think we average about $50 per person per trip.
The place isn't worth it just for playing the golfing games. I would only go to eat and drink too. So, it can get pretty pricey.

They need to invest heavily in having off-duty city police or sheriff's deputies sitting outside running off the loiterers. If not, your prediction will be correct.

Do you reserve a bay ahead of time or just show up? Id imagine it will be packed the first few months
