He may have been abused.That is often the case and with those people that are exposed to sexual encounters at a young age it warps their mind and they get locked into being attracted to kids around the same age they were abused. Others its just their kink and their brains are wired in such a way they cant control it. I mean this guy was in law enforcement. He had to know eventually he would be caught.This is so fricked up. If my one of my daughter's wanted to sleep over at friend's house and their mom was like I know the parents. One is a teacher and the other a cop I would probably let my guard down a bit you know...

Wait, i may have missed a couple pages- but is it generally accepted at this point that the “cumcakes” deal was a hoax?

My first inclination was that it wasnt probably real, but I probably got fooled by a couple of posters here who seemed slightly credible.

Well we do know a couple things for certain. She did in fact regularly bring treats to class for her students. This was confirmed by several parents of kids that I personally know that she once taught at Westside. However, all of those confirmed cases were prior to when she was married to Perkins. My daughter was being taught English by her this year at Westside. My daughter confirmed their particular class was never offered treats of any kind in Perkins class. So if this does end up being true, it certainly wasn't being offered to every class she taught.

When I first heard this (prior to asking my daughter), my initial reaction was horror, shock, concern, anger, etc. I quickly realized though that the claim sounds pretty outlandish and over the top, even for some sick fricks like these two apparently were. I think someone just ran wild with what the obscenity charges might be related to, and the rumor just spread like wildfire.

I feel like evil is mankind's creation, sorta like time. Nothing else in nature really matches the need to feed such a sinister appetite. Today will be someone's best day, and somewhere else it will be someone's worst. Itll always be remembered in one way or another by each, and it will shape their futures moving forward. The beauty in that, if any..sometimes a person can grow from tragedy, while others can be hindered by being content. Silver linings I suppose.

I dont put anything past anyone, growing up in louisiana taught me that. I wish I saw more goodwill in people. I know that there are good people out there, they're just outnumbered. I do hope the husband is thrown into general population, even though there are laws designed so he wont be.

I’ve seen so many people comment who say they knew this guy and what a huge pervert he is, how he used to abuse/mess around with young girls, etc... sounds like there were so many red flags yet nobody said or did anything? This obviously wasn’t his first rodeo.
