Thankful for you and her, but disgusted and angry for any child subjected to this.
I imagine a lot of parents are asking tough questions tonight.
My daughter also confirmed that the students were not given any kind of guidance whatsoever yet by the school. My wife nor I have been contacted by the school either. I'm sure the school admin is in full panic mode right now, but I am still a bit surprised by the silence.

We’re talking about uncharted territory for the school. They probably have no idea what to say or do and just don’t want to make things worse.
But you’re right, it is strange. I wonder if they were told not to to protect victims or if other school administrators are being investigated.

I’m literally nauseated reading this thread. If even half of this crap is true both of them should die soon and badly. Seriously. Like we should take up an OT collection to get this guy some special “attention” in jail.

I missed ten pages or so. Somewhat afraid to go back and read what I missed.

Probably trying to get as much info as possible then have attorneys carefully craft whatever statements the school makes since the school board is very likely to end up as a defendant in lawsuits related to the cumcakes that were given to students

If the reports that they're implicating others in the Dept. are true they'll either be in federal custody or dead at the hands of their friends in short order.

I’m still holding out hope this isn’t true.
I mean FFS. You will never convince me that there weren’t major red flags from both of these sickos and multiple people either ignored it or blatantly covered for them.

Why though? What did the school do wrong?

The school district has so many lawsuits against it right now....
Between issues with bus drivers
Wrecks with bus drivers
Pills on a bus
Students being discriminated against
They have no money

I'm told by the media lynchings are only a southern/racist thing.

Pretty sure there was a search operation on for a missing fisherman.

I am however pleased that this is shining a spotlight on one of the three or four most corrupt parishes in the state. Crooked cops, payoffs, fixed juries, payoffs, preferential treatment, and now child rape and darkness worthy of a season of True Detective. Livingston is a corrupt shitehole.

Dude, this is 2019... Schools, businesses, entities have been sued for a LOT less than what this employee of theirs has been charged with doing on school property.. a whole lot less.. doesnt mean they’ll be found liable, but of course there will be a lawsuit.

Who comes in as independent party to investigate internal sheriff department issues or when a parish sheriff has been compromised in some way in an investigation (assuming not federal issue involved)? Is it still just another parish sheriff?
If it could avoid Louisiana political influences the state does need a stronger and independent state police/investigative/internal audit department that should also handle investigations in sheriff departments and parish officials with zero waiting to be asked. It should also being able to pursue investigations sheriff is ignoring and partner with them in ones they are to add more resources. Not sure State Police do enough in this role despite having statewide authority, but maybe something has changed. I just never really thought of them like a State Bureau of Investigations or like Louisiana’s version of Texas Rangers. Sheriffs do need to have more oversight especially the one’s in parishes without a lot of municipal police, so they control & patrol most of parish.
