I think a good analogy is that light energy is like waves in the ocean. The energy passes though the ocean in what we see as a wave but the particle do not move forward (they do but only very slightly). It like electricity. It's not electrons moving. It energy from atom to atom through a conductive wire (although there is some electron migration but very slow).
You just poisoned a cat.
As an imperfect analogy for people, usually roughly 7th graders, that are being confused by the speed of electricity through a conductor and the fact the electrons are moving very slowly (depending on the conductor, amperage etc they are only moving a couple of millimeters per second) I use Newtons cradle. It is the electromagnetic field that is moving at a speed approaching C.

I want you to explain your position, it will go one of two ways:
1. it will fall flatter than Taylor Swift's butt after a year on Ozempic
2. you will be up for a Nobel Prize for your groundbreaking insight
I am pretty sure which one it is but I am still not as confident as you were with your post.

Also, the interstate number is in direct correlation to the percentage of land mass to its north/south or east/west. For example, if you’re traveling I-10, 90% of the land mass of the US is north of you and 10% is south of you. If you’re driving on I-95 on the east coast, 5% of the land mass is to the east of you and 95% is to the west of you. And so on, with each number…
This has nothing to do with how they were numbered. It’s just a coincidence

No, it is actually true... kinda. It might not make logical sense, but the added potential energy of a compressed spring adds to the mass of the system so long as you only look at the spring as its own system.
You can even see it in the math with a formula we all know: E = mc^2
C is a constant, so, if you increase the energy, E (in this case potential energy), the mass must increase as well.
Edit: I see that GumboPot beat me to this.
you also can't compress a spring without applying force (mass) to the spring

Right.
One day doing yard work in my back yard I inadvertently confirmed this. The electrical circuit to my backyard outlets is protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter. GFCI works by detecting differences in the electrical current flowing into and out of a circuit and quickly shutting off the power if an imbalance is detected. "Electrical current" and electromagnetic field is synonymous here.
So I was trimming the hedges on my fence line with an electrical trimmer connected to an extension cord. Every time the extension cord crossed my pool and touched the water the GFCI tripped. The water broke the electromagnetic field thus tripping the GFCI.

Interstate exit numbers are essentially mile markers. If you want exit 42 and you just passed exit 20, your exit is 22 miles away. That’s also why, if you have multiple exits piled up, they use the same number but usually add a letter.
Also (but maybe more commonly known)...the exit number at the top of the interstate exit sign is justified to the right for a right lane exit, and to the left for left lane exit.

A small battery in my mouse failed, it said 1.5 volts. I didn't find a 1.5 volt in our collection of batteries. Then my husband, with a nudge of superiority, said all the AA and AAA batteries are 1.5v. Who knew? besides him.
Want to really have your mind blown?
Multiply 1.5 x 6

The interstate system will tell you what direction it runs, and where in the country it is generally located. That was a big one for me back in the day.

In very general terms yes but still orders of magnitude different. However, the mass/energy relationship is demonstrable. It just requires accelerating particles with extremely low mass up to near the speed of light which can be done in a particle accelerator. The thing to keep in mind is very small reductions in mass release huge amounts of energy. Think of an atomic bomb. If you rearrange E=MC^2 (assuming P is zero as Gumbo Pot noted) to solve for mass you get something in the range of 1.1 to 10^-14 grams per joule. Converting mass to energy and how much energy is released with even a tiny reduction in mass is the connection between the General Theory of Relativity and the concept of atomic bombs.

When you look into the night sky you’re looking at time as it was millions of earth years ago.
Not really. When you look up with the naked eye and see stars, they are all in the Milky Way galaxy, which is “only” 150,000 light years across. The stars we can see unaided are mostly between 10 and 1,000 light years away.
Using a telescope to look at other galaxies, yes.

Most cars also have a hook on the fuel door flap to hang your gas cap, so it doesn't rub against your paint while fueling.

It’s about Maryland but the lyrics sounded better with West Virginia.
The song isn't about any one place.
The writers were driving a country road in Maryland which reminded them of their upbringing in New England.
Everything else was chosen just because the songwriters felt it worked lyrically. Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River. Neither of which are in West Virginia.
So the song was inspired by country roads and the songwriters just worked it out from there which is kind of what songwriters do.
Great song.
