At a near-record 14 weeks charting #1 on Billboard, OTR is well on its way to becoming the most successful country song of all time.

That song is worse than Mambo #5, Macarena, and Gangnam Style all mashed together to the beat of Friday.

I know what your trying to do, but that's not country. In country music musicians play instruments. They don't karaoke along to a computer beat.

Now that that's out of the way, this is just another summer time anthem, that will go on the heap of other forgotten songs.

Remember that 2005 summer lots of people were singing "Hey there Deliah?" Every heard that song since? Old town road will be forgotten about soon.

He released an EP that has some fairly catchy stuff on it. It is not my style at all, but I could see him being a little more than a one hit wonder.

That said, I would also milk every last dollar out of Old Town Road if I were him. He can be set for life off it and I don't like any of his music.

This is genius. Just keep releasing the same song and raking in dough.

Yep have someone write a new verse, release it again. He will probably have 40 people on it by the time its over.

I do like this one has the country kid on it.

It's a good song, catchy as hell, but its not country music.

This.

Before this he posted short comedy videos on FB & vine (when it was still a thing). Gained a following from that. Found the beat to Old Town Road and then put together the sound as part of a heehaw challenge or some shite.. People liked it and it took off.

Billy Ray Cyrus jumped on it and helped gain even more popularity. He ended up buying BRC a Maserati.

He has put out a few other songs, on featuring Cardi B. I am not sure why people hate when someone has some type of success and gained it the way he has.
