Not sure why. But used to barely be able to see any stars from my home and noticed within the last two months a very noticeable increase in the number of stars

Electricity is expensive.

Biden’s economy is about to have us looking like North Korea from space.

Seriously though, is it seasonal maybe? I’ve always felt like there’s less light pollution in the mid-late fall.

I also wondered if it was seasonal

They’ve been updating the lights in my area to more efficient units that cut down on light pollution and it’s noticeable.

New LED lights I guess? The old light bulbs blasted light in all directions. Newer LED, the light can be directed down.

Ozone layers aren't depleting at all since CFCs got stopped. In 15 years for us, 20 years for Antarctica it should be back to normal.

Went to a star gazing thing at Zion National Park… unbelievable. The coolest thing was the amount of satellites you could see.

Less humidity can make it seem clearer as well.

This is the actual answer. In cool weather there is less water vapor in the air. The less water vapor the clearer the skies. Where I live the skies can be pretty great in the winter after a cold front; in the summer you can hardly see anything.

Big Bend is the best place I've ever seen for night skies. Zero light pollution and very little water vapor.

Part of it is seasonality in my opinion. My wife and I were talking last night and it just seems like winter nights are so much darker than summer nights. I don’t know why but it just seems like it.
