I was walking in the neighborhood tonight by a lake and saw a man laying dead on the other side of the bank... Just sprawled out, a large tumbler laying sideways next to him. Thankfully when returned i saw him get up and he was just sleeping.

Actually Jesus Christ defeated death so you can have eternal life in him.

Enjoy every second. Life is short but it is great.
Also practice not fearing death, as it is inevitable, so why worry about it.
Don't hold grudges.
Be kind to people.
Reach out to special people in your life that you may have grown distant from.
Get off the internet.
Stop trying to find meaning or ask why. Just be present.

I am ignoring my children as I type this. Haha

Looking back, I took a lot of stupid risks in my youth that didn’t scare me then.

But I had a hell of a time.

You know few years have been great, but one thing I've learned to appreciate is that I get to fight death to the bitter end

Didn't sneak up on me. It's not really going to take me by surprise. And Im still finding joy in the midst of ever-increasing exhaustion and pain.

I don’t think about it. I try to take care of my responsibilities and do things I enjoy. I ask forgiveness and salvation for my sins and shortcomings. If I die I know where I’m going, so I do not fear it

Remember when you were a kid and it seemed like everything was a long time from that moment? You couldn't wait until you were old enough to do this or that. When you become an adult its the other way around. Everything comes and goes.

My mom was diagnosed with ALS in November of last year and it has progressed really fast. Last December it was "this might be the last Christmas with her". Right now its "if she makes it to Christmas it will definitely be her last" and the whole year has been a blur. The years seem to go by faster now.

So you have to take the time and live in the moment because at any time life can and likely will throw something you didn't expect at you. Appreciate every moment with your loved ones because it is short.

I went through that a while back and then I realized it’s where you go next that matters. We are here for just a little time, and then we are in heaven or hell for all eternity.

accepting Jesus Christ as Lord as savior is most important

next, work on storing treasures in Heaven.

and make the most of our time with loved ones
Christ would say otherwise. work on getting people saved. must be dedicated to his work more than your temporary family
