Also these days uou can stream the games on your phone so it’s not a big deal to attend other events that used to cause you to miss the games

EXACTLY.
Watching less sports overall improved my life in so many ways. REAL life, not some rigged NFL crap, is what matters. Besides, the vast majority of those athletes hate your guts anyway.

I miss mine being that age but I do not miss the birthday party madness. I imagine it’s gotten even worse in the 10 years since I had one that age.

I have become far less interested in sports as I've gotten a little older. I'm not sure why. I used to be a pretty avid sports fan. Outside of LSU football I hardly watch any sports these days. Maybe the Super Bowl.
