True, but like with most things, the harder you had to work for it, the more you appreciated it. I can still recall specific porn mags I found before I turned 18 because attaining actual porn back then was a damn life event.

I remember signing my dad up for some free 3 month Playboy subscription and then having to check the mailbox religiously for 3 months to make sure I was the one who got them out of the mailbox. I thought I was so smooth...dad told me a few years later he knew what I was doing the whole time and just let me have my fun

I remember watching the scrambled spice channel when I was like 13. I think I just saw some boobs!

I always kept this one in the bathroom. Perfect for dumps of any duration:

Locking self in bathroom and fapping to the underwear section of the Sears or Penney’s catalogue that always sat in the basket of reading material.

Or actually having to think about a real girl you saw during the day at school wearing something revealing

Not having parents track you (I was talking with someone I know and she was talking about her son and she was like "he is supposed to be going ______________ he should be back.. Let me see where he is". She pulled it up on her phone and I was like "you track him?" and she told me she tracks him and her husband..frick that).

Not having to worry about whether or not there will be a video going around of you doing something...

Learning your way around areas because you had to drive around to find a place instead of having a GPS in your hand that tells you exactly how to get somewhere.

The freedom of being unable to be reached can never be understated.

I do think it's led to additional stress. Constantly checking work email etc. I've made it a point to never check mine after hours now.

The positive thing about smartphones is I can go ages with very little time spent actually talking on the phone.

Apart from my husband’s random calls & passing morning commutes talking to my BFF, I almost never have to talk to people.
