Sport sedans are pretty cool. The GS was a sexy car.
But overall, sedans are going to keep losing market share.
Camry, Accord, those will stick. Charger, Impala, as long as there are government buyers they're not going away.
You can get a brand new compact SUV in the mid-20's now. Why would buy a sedan?

I drive a sedan and will get another one. I don’t want a SUV

Minivans have even more function.
Minivans are amazing. Find another vehicle that has the utility of fully sliding side doors, the ride quality of a Cadillac, the interior space to haul 3 kids, a couple kennels and luggage for all, and fuel efficiency no SUV will ever dream of.

Trucks became roomy with the crew cab and now are just as luxurious with interiors.
That's a bit much for me. Trucks have their use, but fuel economy still isn't great, they're a pain to park, and they're not as comfortable.

I would pick the ES 350 over the GS series any day. I love the ES 350.
This is silly

That’s disappointing. My wife loves her GS. It’s her 4th in a row

I considered one about a year ago. ‘17 CPOs were sub-$30k.
The LS is an amazing value too if you don’t mind driving a large marshmallow.

It's actually a souped up Avalon.
The GS is actually neither. It is a rear wheel drive chassis (Camry and Avalon are FWD) and the only car it shares the chassis with is the IS.
I notice the post got 6 upvotes. I have said it before and will say it again most men think they know cars, most of them don't. There are only about a dozen active posters here that know the difference between a camshaft and a dildo.

It’s weird to me how so few people want to drive an actual car anymore.
My kids have to be rear facing in the back seat until they are 15 now, so it’s not really an option

*ahem*
I have said it before and will say it again, most people have no reading comprehension.
The LS350 or whatever number it is now is currently based off the Avalon.
ETA: read the whole thread back again and make another smartass comment.

Jesus, you need to think about what you write before you write it. Take your advice and reread the thread.
I quoted you:
"It's actually a souped up Avalon."
You were quoting SG_Geaux:
"It's just a souped up Camry anyway"
SG_Geaux was quoting member12's OP that did not mention the ES. Whether you meant to or not you were saying the GS was a souped-up Avalon since you were correcting SG_Geaux who was talking about a GS. IF you had said the ES was built on the Avalon chassis you would have been correct. It isn't my reading skills that are lacking but your writing skills.

Oh, just follow the course of the conversation, for frick's sake. I know what I was talking about.
I've owned an LS400, an LS300, my mom drives an Avalon, my brother drives a Camry, and one of my cousins drives an LS350.
I know what the fricking car is.

I know one is spec-ed in inches of lift and degrees duration, the other not so sure!

Women want their husbands to buy SUV's for them.

Yup, then we get their hand me down luxury sports sedans. Lucky for me I bought the sports sedan I wanted in the first place.

Lexus is only a rebadged Toyota. If you own or have owned a Lexus, you have owned a Toyota.

I’m ready for sedans and sports cars to make a comeback. I have nothing against SUVs and crossovers, but I prefer a little variety.

No shite.
The two cars are nothing alike. All Toyota sedans are front wheel drive. Toyota’s Lexus line sedans are rear wheel drive except for the ES which shares a platform with the Avalon.
The GS F is a great car with an incredible engine. It is nothing like a Camry.
