I said they're not perfect little angels. The do behave and have social skills beyond all these zombie kids.

So your kids are bad at restaurants sometimes. His kid gets a tablet that keeps him quiet.

What's your issue? You're just choosing to be mad about something for no real reason.

I have a daughter that is autistic. Letting her have it at the table is the only way we can go out to eat as a family. The other two do not get it. Look closer at some of the kids and you may see that they have special needs.

I don't think anyone in this thread is as triggered as you are. Step up your parent game bro. Your children don't even know who you are. Do they call you Nana?

OP is. Dud just wants validation of his own parenting choices and to look down on anyone who disagrees with him. You can stay on your knees for him if you like. I choose not to.

My kids are K and under. We never did pads at restaurants and about a month ago I got rid of my kids iPads altogether after a meltdown when I took them away one evening. Kids need to be bored - it spurs the imagination and creativity. Also being a parent requires engagement even when it’s tiresome and frustrating. Soapbox moment done...and i understand the need for a break - try alcohol!

It's funny that some people are upvoting his terrible post just because they're directed at me. I just wish I knew who I bothered so much.

1st downvote btw.

The fact that you fail to appreciate that some folks may AGREE with his view and disagree with yours is very revealing.

Actually Nana, he's on to something. You've made 4,870 posts a year since you've been on. He's pointing out that that takes a lot of time. Time you don't spend on your children, and if you don't have kids, time you don't spend living a life.

I'm going to brag a little as a parent for a moment.

We have a 4 yo son and while he's not always perfect out in public, he's relatively well behaved and rarely relies on electronics. He doesn't have an ipad and has never used one. He only thinks cell phones are for face time with the grandparents (or with us when we are out of town) and looking at old pictures of himself. He loves to be outside and can entertain himself. We just leave the back door open and he comes and goes as he pleases.

All that to say that when we go to church, he's quiet the whole time; when we go out to a restaurant, our biggest issue is getting him to eat as much as he should; and a big plus is that I can take him golfing with me, and he can make it a whole 18 holes participating as much as time allows. Lots of old men are impressed with his etiquette and even when he gets tired toward the end of some rounds, he just sits quietly in the cart either drawing on the back of the score card or playing with the rangefinder.

Has NOTHING to do with post count, Moron. They AGREE with his outlook about the I-pads.

You seem a bit more dense than usual today. Probably didn't engage in enough conversations as a child.
