Lowes: so you can get all the tools you need to fix up that shoddy, cookie cutter Denham Springs house
- Target: seems nice, but its a little pricier than WalMart; your EBT card won't go as far there.
- Dillards: not sure why this is coming. You can get your overalls at the Lowes
- Hobby Lobby:
- Olive Garden and 3 other restaurants: fine dining options. Unlimited bread sticks, unlimited cheddar bay biscuits, and 2 for $20 specials, coming to Denham!
- All-Star Kia and a Nissan dealer: dealerships? Might as well live on Airline Highway or Florida Blvd.
- Two banks: Payday Loans is not a bank.
- 14-screen theater (we can assume that's Movie Tavern): nothing says "excitement" about a new development like a shiny new cinema. And nothing says "wrong side of town" like a dilapidated, semi-abandoned, 5 year old cinema.
- An outdoor Greek theater: a nice place for the homeless to sleep and loiter
- A drugstore: mobile meth lab
- A medical facility: free clinic
- Four 120-room motels

I'll admit it, I laughed.

I don't see a single thing listed that makes it worth driving to LP for. Bragging about getting an Olive Garden is like bragging about having genital warts. Everyone is grossed out by it and no one wants to go near it.
MovieTavern without the urban youth renewal movement that occurs at citiplace when the adults let loose with carloads full of unattended Youth will make our version far superior to Spinosa's version over thatta way.
It'll also have a Walk-On's, a low-key Stroube's and I believe one other that I have some intel on but I'm not ready to divulge because I don't think its a done deal that will definitely make it a crowd-attractor.
But beyond that, I think you may be fundamentally confused. Who said the point of Juban Crossing was to attract folks from Baton Rouge to Livingston? As a resident who found out about this when the developers first bought the property over a decade ago I wanna say...The entire premise of Juban Crossing was to give Livingston Parish residents an opportunity to keep their tax dollars at home while providing a shopping option that allowed them to do so as well.
Whether we're talking about groceries, retail options, restaurants, etc.
Juban Crossing fills that need for me and I'm glad to give the folks that operate there my business in exchange for providing those options to me here locally.

-Hobby Lobby: not even open on Sundays, the biggest hobby-doing day of the week

Was logjammin taken? Because that's not the Jackie Treehorn produced, Carl Hungus-starring film's correct spelling.
Dude.

If you think that Chief Jones and Sherriff Ard are going to allow Juban Crossing to be a haven for underage youth to run amuck-or of legal consenting age doophises and/or meth heads to do so-you definitely don't know LP.
LPLEO don't play, mayne.

They don't seem to care about the problems they cause, which since I just got unbanned I'm not going to discuss any further

Will LP allow alcohol to be sold or will it just be cider and alcohol free wine?

When complete, Juban Crossing will be "10 times larger than Perkins Rowe."
Compare it to Siegen Village, in which these would be the same.

There are more theaters than just the one in Perkins Road. And you will still have a shite ton of 12-17 year olds running around.
