When I was a teenager and first got my drivers license, we would drive from Hammond to the one in BR all the time. Sometimes like a dozen or so friends would go! Apparently I had no taste buds at 16. This was around 2000ish.

Watch out- I bought red fish filets yesterday packaged with a gulf coast company’s name assuming it was gulf caught. They went so far as to put an American flag on the package! Got home and saw first ingredient was “redfish (China)”. Wasn’t indicated anywhere else. Bastards.

When it first opened , the corporate trainer staff were all there and it was quite entertaining and decent.
A bit later, it was so bad, the kids wouldn’t eat the hot dogs. They just played in the playground.
Haven’t been back in a long long time.

I went to the Joe's crab shack once with a church group from Georgia

Used to go a lot. But over time, service and food quality had dropped like a rock.

So let me make sure I understand. You think a restaurant that is part of a group, that is owned by a family with *known* organized crime connections in Galveston and vegas may possibly be a money laundering front or "legitimate" business for a money laundering scheme.

True. If living in a city like N.O., why would you go eat at a chain seafood restaurant when there are so many local restaurants that serve much better food.

This is a bullshite statement, and you know it. Is it a frozen seafood box chain? Yes. Is it good? Not really. Is it often packed? Yep.
I used to go often when my kid, nieces, nephews, and friend's kids were young. Every time it was busy. Often we had to wait. Why? Kids.
In the past 2 or 3 years I have gone 5-7 times for birthday parties. Packed each time.
It's a popular box chain, baw. I don't ever choose it, but many do.
