frick me. That dick winters segment always gets me like some ben and Jerry's eating menopausal woman. Beautiful. fricking beautiful

Also, surprised to see Maine on that list. I guess I was under the false impression that they were liberal
Soooooo why do I have a feeling that the governor not mobilizing the national guard to control this shite will somehow be Trumps fault. Hes negligent if he lets it go to shite and hes a totalitarian if he intervenes and goes above the governors head. No win situation.

God if I were in the national guard still I'd be licking my chops to cherry pie some of those idiots with my shitty Vietnam era M16A1.

I threw my taysom hill Jersey in the trash and I've been a lifelong saints fan. Just have to accept that professional football is going in a direction that it wont turn back from. Disgusting to see my team turn into one of the worst BLM pandering teams in the league. fricking done watching a league comprised of 70 percent blacks making millions of dollars a year complain about lack of opportunity and preponderance of white privilege. What other fricking country has a path for an uneducated shite for brains, black or white, philistine to make such an absurd amount of money? They should take a hard look at Liberia for some perspective. Get the frick out of my beautiful country!

Sorry for ranting. This is obviously the only venue for me to express such frustrations without getting stoned to death and fired from my job.

Comparing american nationalism to nazism? Cute
Theres a line at the embassy there a mile long by 0600, many of whom camped the night before like it was some fricking star wars premiere, trying to get a Visa. People in America forget how blessed we really are. Its impossible to see this country's greatness when were all putting a magnifying glass to its proposed flaws

Perception of BLM movement in Haiti

I was stationed outside of port Au prince in the army after the earthquake and lived there long enough to learn the language and culture. Never met a more resilient, spirited faithful group of people in my life.

Haiti was the second democratic republic in the western hemisphere, 1st black democracy in the world. As a slave rebellion, they fought and won their freedom by defeating the strongest military force in world at the time, with the help of napoleon being stretched thin and bankrupt. Over time, corruption, in fighting and nepotism lead to its decline to what we started to see in the 80s through today.

I still keep in touch with good friends there and wanted their perspective, though i pretty much knew already...one of em said "your blacks think they know police brutality.. they should come here." The police are pretty notorious for imposing their will on people with little oversight. "Map Fe Ou Bel" is a pretty common saying attributed to police, "I'm gonna make you pretty(sarcastically, by beating you)." During the Duvalier regime, there was a special task force called the TonTon Macoute (means boogeyman) who would patrol the streets with machetes and chop off hands for stealing or littering.

What's the point? Well these are all examples of black authority figures beating the shite out of black people and to a much more violent and systemic manner than in america. So much so that Haitians see american blacks as "whiney bitches" (Jean Baptistes words, not mine). I really would like some of these fricking idiots like malcom Jennings to go live in haiti and get extorted by black police. It infuriates me because these fricktards are under the delusion that police brutality wouldn't exist if there weren't white cops.

I just thought it was an interesting perspective and figured I'd share. Let me know your guys thoughts.

As a vet I refuse to believe this. No effing way...the military couldn't have changed THAT much in 15 years

fricking hell who cares
Wow all of this shite has admittedly made me prejudiced and put a whole lot of hate in my heart. It's not even conscious and I try so hard to fight it, but when shite like this happens it doesn't get covered, it pisses me off.

unnecessary confrontation

I dont know man. If I saw young girls being harrassed by a hobo I would intervene. But if they were already walking away then probably wouldn't. Sometimes I feel like we just sit back and do nothing all to often in society now for fear of consequences. In an ideal world, you do what's right and honorable always regardless of consequences. Reality is your arse gets Eddard starkd

depression as independent risk factor for CAD. SSRI's inhibit platelet aggregation through novel mechanism = win win

A relationship between depressive symptoms and increased platelet activity has been established in physically healthy depressed patients15-17 as well as in postmyocardial infarction (MI) depressed patients.8,18 T

decrease in platelet/plasma 5-HT level and diminution of 5-HT-lnduced aggregation are the markers which were more often modified upon antldepresslve treatment, in line with the central role of this neurotransmitter in primary hemostasis.9,26,30 Thus, prospective studies clearly Indicate that antidepressants modify primary hemostasis.

n a low dosage of SSRI at the moment (it's my first time on any type of medication for mental health). It isnt a fix but the ups and downs are not as intense. I don't get super angry or sad. I will be getting off of them as soon as possible so I purposely chose a low dosage

Why would you take yourself off if it helps you stabilize your mood? I mean I'm just curious if you had a negative experience or just dont like the idea of being on meds. Depression is a neurodegenerative process..left untreated could have negative long term effects on working memory and overall cognition. We know this from post mortum brain autopsies. Its definitely associated with elevated inflammatory markers and elevated levels of cortisol (which messes up the Hippocampal (memory) Pituitary Adrenal axis). Untreated depression is associated with significantly elevated risk for heart disease and stroke.

I mean no medication is without side effects, including ssri's. But risk vs benefit is overwhelmingly in favor of treatment.

This is all to say that I worry that people avoid seeking treatment or take themselves off of working regimens due to the stigma of being on them. You certainly wouldn't quit taking your insulin if you had diabetes or baby aspirin if you were high stroke risk. Stigma sucks. Just remember that one of the manliest men ever to walk the earth and fricking national treasure, Earnest Hemingway, blew his god damn brains out because he never got help.

Has anyone had any luck with CBD and anxiety/depression?

If so can you recommend?

Heard people report anecdotal improvement. Rat studies showed decreased physiological stress response vs placebo as well as decrease in inflammatory markers (which indirectly cause depression). Enough evidence for me..and plus I've tried it.

Caution though, do NOT get "full spectrum" CBd oil if you have even a remote chance of a drug test at work, as you will test positive. Instead go for an isolate.

I used these guys for pain and found it helped me sleep and made me less anxious
