If i travel in behalf of my company and use a company vehicle, they're already tracking it. If you have a company assigned phone, you're also already being tracked.

Yeah, the safety of your child is always comical - especially when cherry-picking comments.

I have a daughter. She's on life360. Additionally, I have an apple air tag in her vehicle. It's not to track her. It's in case she's ever in danger (ie car jacking) and I have to go get her.

You didn't answer my question. Which is not surprising.

I can't imagine being that up my wife's arse that I have to check an app to see her running errands.

I work from home and she doesn't work on Friday's. I don't think it's crazy to know where your spouse is, if you expected them to be somewhere. I just threw out a random example, I don't even know if I've ever used it in that scenario, but I have definitely used it to see when she will be home from a training/conference in a city that is an hour+ away to determine if I should start my child's bedtime routine by myself or if I should wait for her. That is a real example that happened a couple weeks ago. If that's "crazy" then so be it, it wasn't my idea to share locations in the first place

That’s easy, just watch the debit card transactions through the day, you know where she is.

My wife insists we all have it on our phones. I fricking hate it, but I guess it's better than arguing about it all the fricking time.

Thats cool you tell her no and don't argue about it.

It's not that for most people. When our kids were in high school, we would use it if they were late coming home or we had one of those parent's intuition moments. It's not like we sat there watching where they were at all day.

Surely kids are smart enough to know that if they are going to go somewhere that they aren't supposed to go, they can just leave their phone at their friend's house or something before going do whatever they want

Well, if she's dropped off at said place, then no...

Are there ways around all of this - of course. But I don't see anything wrong in trying to use a tool that can help attempt to ensure their safety.

I'm on there because my niece that lives in Tennessee likes checking it and seeing where everyone is at. I'll just be somewhere and then get a text from her like "What are you buying at Academy?" I'm good with it just since she enjoys it and I couldn't care less if my wife knows where I'm at and I don't check it because I don't care where she's at.

If the government knows my every step and my family's ever step, I figure it'd be nice if I knew too

We had it for about a week - I didn’t need to know my husband was going 97 mph on the interstate

We got it because my oldest has an android but for some reason it wouldn’t let her join our family

Sooooooo we got rid of it.

I'm sure you never did anything dumb as a kid, where one thing going slightly different would have dramatically altered/ended your life.

I absolutely answered it. Be more specific. Are you referring to my personal phone? The answer would be no. My company has no rights to track me under those circumstances. I'm also not married to my job, have no obligations to them outside of work.

Your question was ridiculous. Most corporate companies assign cell phones to their employees. They're all being tracked, as i said.

Yall are ignoring the obvious, and then using extremes to try and win some argument.

Youre not actually improving anyone's safety. Your family is still the exact same amount danger everyday whether you track them or not.

Your whole argument was that the government and big tech are already tracking you, so who cares if you have life360.

Well if the government and big tech are already tracking you, then who cares if your boss wants to track you as well? Why does it matter if you have a corporate phone or not?
