Think again, hero. Tricare for Life (or Prime or Standard) all have monthly premiums. A family premium is about $500 per year.

Hey me too! I hope the McDonalds and Burger
king employees are enjoying that healthcare.
It's like in today's world, there is no penalty for poor life decisions.

Family of 5 - Company pays all.
Just wish the wife fully understood that $1300-1500 per month benefit.

Over $400 a month for a family for 4. I pay nearly $200 a month for my own "decent" insurance through my company's group plan, which has more than doubled in the past year or two. My wife is a teacher so she has cheaper and similar coverage, and it's $230-ish a month for her and our two kids.

I have a health savings account. Put in $3,350 this month. Comes out to $279.16 per month. I only spent about $280 on healthcare out of it last year and still have $3070 in the account from last years contribution. It's earning about 26 cents a month interest. 31 and healthy. Just me. Am I doing it wrong? As of last year, I'm new to the health savings account/health insurance decisions.

As long as you are funding your retirement vehicles well, then storing money in an HSA isn't a bad option
Some HSA banks allow you to invest the money though. Look into that

$500/month with a $5,000 deductible - because, you know...the Affordable Health Car Act.

Family of three, roughly $700/month. Company picks up the rest, which is about $600\month.

On my wife's employer's plan cause it's WAY better than what mine offers. Hers is covered and we pay about $120/month for me and the baby. $1000 deductible/person or $2500 max out of pocket/year for all 3

Too fricking much and I very rarely use it.
The second I drop it my horse will put me in the hospital, though, so I keep it. Husband jokes that I work for insurance.
I'm poor.

Normally would be $170 a month but I get $20 a payperiod discount for doing a health assessment so it's $130 a month.
Just for me.
