Know I baw a few years back was passed through a checkpoint in the CBD after a night out and rounded the block for a parking space by his condo and went through the check point again and was busted.

I can't believe anyone actually stops for you.

I'd at least drive to the nearest police station to make sure you aren't scamming me (if I was a female).

I think that's a real good way for the wannabee Barneys to get their asses blown away, or at least have the shite kicked out of them, just sayin'

Me and some of the other neighbors have formed a volunteer group that works hand in hand with local law enforcement to stop and check drivers within the four walls of our neighborhood if we suspect drunk driving. We have cart blanch to stop anyone we suspect during our shifts on the weekends when he have our sheriff issued windbreaker on.

Jesus Christ. Teens on golf carts, really? I'm truly hoping you don't call the cops for this shite. I would understand calling their parents, but this is ridiculous. What kind of damage could they possibly do on a golf cart? I understand it's a bit reckless, but he isn't even operating a high performing vehicle of any kind. I could understand a four-wheeler, dirt bike, or scooter. Yeah, they could hurt themselves, but that should be on their parents for letting them use the golf cart, and not monitoring their children very well.

This "citizen's safety group" sounds like it's a group of yuppies that wanted to be a prick of a cop, but knew they could make better money somewhere else. On one hand, that is smart, on the other, it is very, very sad.

Received a phone call at 2 AM in college to go get roommates from bar. Got there in gym shorts and a T-shirt with glasses instead of contacts. Found out about 10 people needed a ride so I put them in the bed of the truck. Got pulled over for "failure to signal when changing lanes." I passed the road test and submitted to breathalyzer, passing with a .000. Officer thanked me for being a designated driver, gave me a $20 gift card to Chili's, and sent me on my way. The next night I went to Chili's and drank some El Presidente Margs.

Been through 3 of them.

Once as a passenger so I sat there while they made my friend get out the car. Another they just waved me through. The last one they made me take a breathalyzer.

That is what it boils down to. I'm talking about 16 and 17 year Olds who are hammered and driving on dark streets at night with 5 or 6 of them hanging off the sides. Often times up to vandalism.

Freshman year of college, decided that I was less drunk than my buddy so I decided I would drive us home. We stopped to get drunk food. Pulled out of the place and saw blue lights. Was beginning to crap my pants when he came around to the window. My friend had his drink between his legs on the ground so I could have been hit with a dui and open container, but the cop walks up and says just turn on your lights and you're good to go. I guess he saw the state trooper sticker on the back of my friends truck, otherwise we would have been fricked

Wait, wait, wait...explain this one to me. You are claiming you, private citizens, have been afforded "carte blanche" by your local police department to don police gear and use it to represent yourselves as authorities and stop any private citizen from free travel simply based on your arbitrary, non-delineated suspicions?

What neighborhood in what city is this exactly?

He doesn't really do this.

I was pulled over on the way home from coaching a baseball team all day on a Saturday around 11 at night. Middle of the summer, hot sunny day. So you could imagine I was pretty tired and just ready to get to the house and get to bed. I was speeding 75 in a 65 thought BR. When i got out my truck and went talk to cop I could tell he was fishing for DUI's. Which I had only drank water and Gatorade all day. Starts the pen eye thing and he was moving that pen side to side for at least 5 minute, and I'm just folowing the pen thinking in crushing this test. Which I had no reason to think I wouldn't since I didn't drink one alcoholic drink all day. Well apparently I failed it miserably. I learned the cops are looking for your eye to start twitching back to center when the pen get to either side. The cop asked if I had some condition, which I ha never heard of. And he proceeds to start grilling me to ask if I had been drinking. I just say no sir I've been at all ball park all day coaching a baseball team, I was wearing the uniform still. I felt that he wasn't buying my story. He takes my ID and truck paperwork and goes sit in his car for a few minutes. I think he was watching how I acted while he was sitting in there and that is when he realized I was probably telling him the truth. When he got out I was about to say get the breathalyzer so I can get out of here. However he just gave me my stuff back and said you are free to go.

It's called the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus Test, and they think it's fool proof, but it's not. Most of the time they don't even administer the test correctly. That's all the freebies you baby birds get today. I'm out.

unfortunately you can be charged with appearing impaired, as in a fatigue situation like you described, it may not stick but there's still an arrest record, attorney fees, court dates, etc., had that happen to a friend of mine a few years back, it was a nightmare for him

Not drunk but had enough where I was not going to blow or do stupid tests. On Earheart approaching the high rise to get on the expressway towards JP. Cars moving slowly and as I approached, saw a huge amount of lights blocking the road. I was suspicious and nervous. Still far enough back where cars thought it may have been an accident blocking the road. People started backing up on Earheart and I joined in. Backed up far enough to be able to turn around and head towards Airline. Got home safe with no arrests.
