Dr Seuss Enterprises are the ones who made this decision. I dont belive anyone forced them to do so.

You think the Dr. Seuss company was eager to call their founding father and only reason for existence a racist and banned their own product because they wanted to?

I can’t wait to hear your explanation for this one

You don't have a functioning brain if you think this.

If nobody but direct descendants of a culture can talk about it, dress in traditional clothing, cook the food, etc. of that culture, without being harassed or having their jobs threatened, the world will be a boring place.

What’s the point of living in a multicultural society if you can’t experience other cultures without being crucified? And, for some, being proud of your own culture gets you crucified. At what point will everyone lose touch with their roots and all cultural history will be lost?

And also, say i’m a white guy who likes the culture of a certain country. Maybe i have an interest in it’s history so i wear elements of their clothing and learn how to cook some of the food. How does that have anything to do with denying people their rights and opportunities?

Let me tell you how this went since you only get your news from Stephen Colbert

quote:

The family of author Theodor Seuss Geisel told the Associated Press on Tuesday that the decision to pull the books from publication followed a lengthy review of feedback from “teachers, academics and specialists.” But while concerns over possible racism had been around for years, the most damning accusations came in a February 2019 study called, “The Cat Is Out of the Bag: Orientalism, AntiBlackness, and White Supremacy in Dr. Seuss’s Children’s Books.”

So the Seuss family said “shite they are coming for us next. Let’s say we listened to some academics and ban 6 of our obscure books and at least we can keep this thing going”

It’s called self preservation in the face of a angry mob.

It’s the half German half Jew who denounces their Jewish roots and claims allegiance to the Reich to save his family from the gas chambers.

People who find these things offensive only demonstrate their own bigotry and racism, assuming characteristics of people are demeaning because THEY THEMSELVES see them as second class, or demeaning. They view themselves as superior. That’s where the problem really comes for them. It’s in how THEY view people who aren’t like themselves.

What kind of world would it be if everyone looked the same, talked the same, viewed everything the same, had no unique perspectives, or characteristics that set them apart from other people, saying the same things, believing in the same things, and acting as a collective rather than free and independent individuals?

It certainly isn’t a world I would want to live in, but for the hard core leftists out there, this is apparently what they think will bring happiness. INGSOC

That’s why I challenged him to draw the picture of tribal Africans. Look at the first picture he made and imagine if he would have colored in the face. It would have looked almost exactly like the Dr Seuss drawing.

Are we to assume he is a racist?

Great artwork by the way

The thing is, they came for them eventually too.

Who forced non-Jewish neighbors to rat out their Jewish neighbors?

The Nazi comparisons are funny coming from the people who just had their own Beer Hall Putsch fail like Hilter did. At least Hilter got jail time for attacking his own government.

If you put an antelope femur through your nose or a dinner plate size disc in your lip, don't get all pissy when someone portrays you with said bone/disc as part of the characature.
