The entire trans platform is simply words do not mean anything

I generally try to be nice and placate people when possible. As long as someone isn't overly militant, we would never have an issue. But some of these ideas are just born of lunacy and people are afraid to call them out.

Ok, while I agree people have gone too far, let's not go too far in response. When we say that oil is "hydrophobic", we aren't saying that it's actually afraid of water, even if that's what the original latin roots might mean

I never made a philosophical or policy or moral or medical inference from the existence of this behavioral variation. Those things exists outside the notion of whether the variation exists.

A similar debate is happening in the autism spectrum community. Some people on the autism spectrum are pushing back against the notion that autism is a “disorder,” instead calling it “natural neurological variation.”

I’m not skilled in bioethics enough to make any determination on what ought to be the way a person’s transgenderism should be treated. Only that in a society that values individual liberty, they shouldn’t be forced to live a certain way against their desires. (And that the same courtesy be extended to other people as well.)

In fairness, we still know so little about the human brain that calling anything "neurotypical" is a little premature. Hell, our brains certainly aren't wired for the current world we live in. Maybe autism is the next stage of human evolution

Well, then, there’s the rub. It is now becoming the rest of society’s responsibility to validate and participate in someone else’s self-image.

As shown to us in that terrible “The Predator” movie.

Also, explain to me how autistic folks are going to leave more offspring.

this is the most fascinating part to me as well. But it has happened before in history as religious differences. Now it is sexual preference differences.

Never saw it.

Theoretically possible in a paradigm in which "neurotypicals" devolve into anxiety-ridden non-functionals because they are overwhelmed by stimulus and just shut down, leaving some form of current atyp to replace them in the gene pool.

But seriously, it was just a throwaway joke. We don't need to spend a lot of time on this

I believe you can be whatever you choose, but just don't expect other people to share the opinion. Its almost like a social orthodoxy that rivals scripture is being formed. That's not healthy either.

A society that casts aside truth and embraces insanity and delusion (which is what transgenderism factually is) is a society on its way to the dustbin of history.

Can’t say I disagree.

Hard to actually live in a society when the definition of words change so frequently that they stop having much meaning altogether

very much this. People can be furries all they want but I don't want to have to act or pretend that they are really a cat, dog, pony, or whatever.

Same with this- I don't care what you identify as or dress as or whatever but quit making other people who don't care have to be all involved in it. Let everyone be individuals and f*ck who they want.

I am very pro all the letters but also pro what you or I do in our bedrooms doesn't really affect my everyday life.

I’ve been “screaming” about The New Orthodoxy, apostates and heretics to it, and the nascent Inquisition for quite a while now.

It’s kind of comical...the progressive Left are now the Puritans.

What I don't understand about the whole thing is this:

If gender is a societal construct, then why do trans people immediately go overboard to act like their "new" gender?

A male to female tranny immediately takes a female name, wears dresses, make up, gets fake tits, etc.

Why can't he just say "I'm now female" and keep everything else the same?

Because that doesn't get him the attention he craves.
