I have changed my opinion on this, provided it has guardrails and no one can just end it for no reason. My FIL is in a nursing home and I see people in there who don't know they are there, can't feed themselves or go to the bathroom and basically live in a laid back rolling wheelchair.

I told my wife, if I get near that shape, give me ricin.

I didn't say otherwise. Just stating he was misdiagnosed and when he killed himself he thought he had Parkinson’s

I would never purposely end my life as it goes against my beliefs, but I completely understand ending ones life due to certain circumstances.
Ive had RA for over 22 years. This year in particular has been one of the worst ever. I told my wife I won't go looking for death, but I will welcome it.
As long as I can be a net positive to my family I will provide for them, but the moment I start hurting them I going to have to think about my future. I will not become a burden.

Many people say Ivermectin has helped them greatly with RA

Google it and there are studies about it

Thanks. I've been hearing the same. Docs can't really prescribe it because it's not approved to treat RA.
Horse paste will be the go to.

The roots are much more likely to be in the fact that Christians viewed suicide as a mortal sin up until fairly recently, and a lot of them still hold the belief.

Laws regarding attempted suicide and assisted suicide far predate the medical and drug industries being profit centers.

I guess we aren’t getting an updated LeapFrog with a usb port from the past 15 years and a serviceable battery. Bummer.

It's interesting you brought this up because AI models predict to slow Alzheimers dramatically by 2027, stop it from even starting by the early 2030's, reverse Alz damage by 2035-2045 and completely cure it by 2050.

This dude just sounds like a beta bitch.

Some Native American tribes had a tradition where older people who could no longer contribute, slow the tribe down, would wander into the wilderness or stay behind so as not to slow the tribe down. That’s dying with dignity. Not the same thing, but a person with a neuro-degenerative illness voluntarily making the decision while they are still able to is also dying with dignity. I think I’d like to do the same if Alzheimer’s comes for me.

The Indian wandering off alone is far different than the person asking a health professional to take part in hastening their death.
