re: Lazy crane operators making $250,000 a year exacerbating port crisis, truckers say

Total BS to blame a crane operator. This article seems fabricated and a distraction from the true source of the problem…Brandon. No crane operator would purposefully take 3-4h on one container, that’s a stupid angle to take. Those guys are skilled and professional and take pride in their work. They’d rather crank the ships in and out as fast as possible than milk each lift. This article makes no sense. Also, if it were about crane operators, they’d be coming from all ends of the earth to make a little extra and work in LA to fix the problem.

Shitty unionized worker that can't be fired for poor performance.

So exactly how is it Brandon's fault?
Posted on 10/17/21 at 9:57 am to stout
I'm sure a lot of pipeline crane operators are available

You sound very delusional. I’m sure you’ve never seen the outside of an office

How long have you been a crane operator?

Sounds like those crane operators need a good ole fashioned arse whoopin by some of the trucker baws.

You're going to get fricking crickets

Let's go, Brandon/Biden's America
Orange Man Bad
Thanks Obama
Bush lied, people died
Leave it to the mental midgets to create a bumper sticker slogan for "I have no idea what the problem is, but I sure as frick know who to blame!" each election cycle...

Moral of the story:
The working man has the US by the balls right now!

There are shitty unions representing workers up and down the food chain. My point is it’s dumb that they write an article making crane operators scapegoats. This problem far exceeds a guy in a crane at a dock. Don’t eat the cheese. In the middle of covid we saw nurses fly everywhere because “overwhelmed hospitals” yet we’re supposed to believe some guy in a crane in LA is taking 3 hours per container and that’s why store shelves are empty? Ok, then, go and blame the convenience store clerk for $4 gas too.

It’s not just about this, it’s all endemic of our money being worth less.
Hyperinflation is coming

There is a a shortage of Semi Trucks in California that meet the state’s standards.

I agree. Believe me, if I knew a logical way to pin it on Biden, I would. I don’t, so I won’t.

Their time is almost up anyway. China has already gone to robotic cranes.

bullshite.
Unions have turned into organized crime. It’s sad and pathetic.

Because the state standards are unreasonable. We were in trouble as soon as we started blaming cow farts for made up climate change.

What I’ve learned from this whole thing is everybody who works at the ports are way overpaid and work less than they should. The ports not being open 24/7 like they are in the rest of the world is a good example
Posted on 10/17/21 at 10:26 am to loogaroo
The progressive answer will be to reduce the number of ships coming to US ports to prevent a backlog.

Oh crap! I just read an article that says the security guard at the gate to the port in LA is taking 2 hours to scan the license plate on trucks and that’s why there’s no beef in my grocery store!!!! Fire the stupid overpaid security guard!!!!! Reeeeeeeee! Everyone makes too much money when they work!!! Fire them!!!! Reeeeee!!!!!
