Well, living rooms used to be a place for the family to gather and visit, watch TV or a movie together, or play games.
Millineals don’t believe in a traditional family or socializing in person so I agree. They no longer serve a purpose.

We technically have two living rooms. We turned the upstairs one into a playroom that is used all the time. The main one of course is where we spend most of our awake time.
Our backyard is used all the time too. Kids, dog, hanging out. Our front yard was pretty crucial to saving our house from flooding during Harvey, so I'd say it's useful as a buffer. We don't ever hang out in the front lawn, though.

I have a big lawn. I have a big lawn so I don't have someone living right next to me. My lawn is not wasted space.

Sorry you are poor, we have 3 living rooms. Two down stairs and one upstairs and we use them all
